Through this tour, We aim to impart my expertise and passion for Japanese cooking to a broader audience, hoping many will partake in this culinary adventure and discover the exquisite flavors of Japanese cuisine.

Our journey begins not just with cooking but also with a visit to a local supermarket. Japanese supermarkets are a treasure trove, offering an extensive range of meats, fish, vegetables, and an array of unique seasonings. Shopping at local supermarkets with a local guide and learn how to choose good ingredients

This cooking class starts with a visit to a local supermarket frequented by Japanese locals. Enjoy shopping, while learning about the distinct characteristics of Japanese supermarkets and how locals choose their ingredients, guided by a local expert. After gathering our ingredients, we will head to the cooking class apartments to begin the culinary experience.

Enjoy cooking Japanese traditonal foods such as sushi roll, miso soup, egg roll, and egg plant with the guide's explanation of Japanese food culture and its wisdom

Firstly, we will prepare dashi (Japanese soup stock), the foundation of Japanese cuisine, along with sushi rice, essential for sushi-making, all while our guide provides explanations on the methods and reasons behind each step. You'll get to experience traditional Japanese home-style cooking techniques, such as precision knife skills and crafting dashimaki tamago (Japanese-style rolled egg) in a frying pan. Additionally, you'll receive a recipe at the end of the cooking class, enabling you to prepare Japanese dishes for a home party once you return to your own country. Feel free to ask any questions you might have during the cooking process!

Craft thick sushi rolls using a variety of ingredients & Enjoy a shared lunch together

—a skill that's challenging to perfect without proper guidance— The highlight of the cooking tour is crafting sushi rolls. Participants place their prepared ingredients atop vinegared rice, encase them in nori seaweed, and then slice them into delectable pieces. The vibrant cross-section of the sushi roll, showcasing a medley of colorful ingredients, is truly captivating. Its allure is further heightened when presented on traditional Japanese plates. Once all dishes are ready, everyone gathers to enjoy a delightful lunch, beginning with the customary phrase, "Itadakimasu" (Appreciation for the food). Conveniently, Kappabashi-dori Street, renowned for its diverse array of restaurant supplies and plates, is just a five-minute walk from our cooking class venue. After lunch, you're invited to explore and sightsee in Asakusa, making the most of your culinary experience.
