Welcome to the Tokyo Kimono Photo Tour. In this tour, you will be able to wear an authentic Kimono or Hakama and walk around the old-town district of Asakusa. Your local guide will take various photos of you strolling around town. Asakusa is home to the famous Sensoji, Denpoin and Hoppy Street, Nakamise and a superb background view of Tokyo SkyTree.

During this tour you will first learn and experience putting on a real Kimono! Also get your hair done too for that extra authentic feel!

Since Asakusa has many spots (urban, metropolitan, retro, cultural, etc...), not only will you be able to take photos with various backgrounds, you will also nurture knowledge about Japan and it's culture/traditions from your local guide. With a Kimono, this is a must-do Japan experience.

Wear a beautiful kimono or hakama and begin your photogenic adventure

Your photo adventure begins at a quaint kimono shop in Asakusa. After wearing this beautiful clothing and having your hair done, it's time to go out and begin your journey! You will stop by famous and local locations to take photogenic portraits of you and your partner/friends etc. Your guide will take you to Hoppy Street, Denpoin Street and more backalleys of Asakusa. Your guide will take photos as you bask in the surrounding atmosphere.These places and our guides will provide you with unforgettable solo trip, honeymoon, and family travel moments taken with a camera.

Welcome to Sensoji and its quaint gardens

Your local guide will take you to Sensoji, where you will be able to learn the history of Buddhism and Shintoism in Japan. Here, take some more photos within the temple as well as the gardens and the famous Nakamise Street surrounding the temple.

Make Asakusa your stage for a beautiful photoshoot.

And for the finale, your guide will take you to other districts within Asakusa such as the Azuma bridge. On the bridge you will have breathtaking views of the bizarre Sapporo monument, as well as Tokyo SkyTree. Go above an observatory and have a beautiful picture taken of you.

  • 3 minute walk from Asakusa station Ginza Line Exit #1
  • Your guide will be holding a red/orange sign "MagicalTrip"
  • Tour around the old town of Asakusa and other districts, while wearing a special Kimono or Hakama. Have some memorable photos taken too!
  • There are also Kimonos available for children aged 3~10 years old. Any children above this age are treated as adults.
