Amazing cooking experience to get to know Japanese culture and cuisine better. Alice was wonderful with us, sharing a lot of details and her knowledge and answering all our questions. Without a doubt, one of the best tours of the trip! The recipes are easy to make back at home, so very practical!

This was amazing experience with the guide I would recommend this to anyone who wants to experience or have a taste of Tokyo

Our guide was really great. It was just my husband and I so it was a very flexible tour. I think it should come with more tastings. There’s so much to try in the market.

Very nice experience. AI and Alice were great, very friendly and patient. They explained in detail how to do everything as well as tell us about Japanese cooking traditions.

Alice was a great instructor and very knowledgeable. Me and my friend group had so much fun learning and cooking!

Amazing experience! It was such an easy experience and we would recommend to anyone!

Absolutely loved our evening doing this experience with Alice.. From the pick up, to when we left, the atmosphere and the food was amazing!! The recipes were easy and delicious and will be enjoyed again and again..

Alice was a wonderful host. She was warm, cheerful, knowledgeable and encouraging. We loved the home style cooking and will definitely recommend to our friends.

Great experience, good food and a nice host.

We had an amazing evening with Alice! We met her and went shopping together, where we learned a lot about Japanese ingredients like miso, soy sauce, and fish. Then we went to the kitchen and had an amazing cooking and dining experience. We also loved chatting with Alice while we cooked—it made the whole experience feel very personal and friendly! Thanks for everything Alice!

We had an excellent time with Alice, who taught us many things. It was very nice to do this activity, which allows you to do the shopping, the cooking, and the meal in the Japanese style. Alice was very fun and full of energy!

Alice was an amazing guide and instructor. We really appreciate her time and experience!

Alice was a terrific guide for the Shinjuku Perfect Pairing Food Tour, leading us to four unique locations where delicious food and drink were featured, each with a different ambiance. The food at all the spots she took us to was uniformly excellent, fresh and tasty, and the drinks provided a good overview of the cocktail culture to be found in Tokyo. Alice was kind and informative, taking the time to explain lots of history of the area, and pausing our tour to show us some convenience store products that she thought we might enjoy. We also detoured to a quiet and peaceful shrine in the middle of busy Shinjuku that we never would have known about otherwise. The tour ended at Family Mart, where we picked up dessert for later, as we were far too full for any more food or drink! We highly recommended Alice and this tour!

A lovely cultural experience, Alice as a guide is super-friendly. The whole workshop was a delight ! Thank you so much.

A great experience. We learned a lot and were able to take away many new techniques. Absolutely recommended!

The best cooking class I have been to. Alice taught us four dishes that I will definitely make at home. She made the whole experience so much fun.

Good explanations and great atmosphere. Our chef is very educational and encouraging. We succeeded in our recipes easily and the conversation was very interesting! Thank you Alice!

Alice was such an amazing host. From start to finish! Our small group had a great time and the food was delicious. Alice was so knowledgeable and fun. We enjoyed this class during our first visit to Japan.

Really nice and personal cooking experience.

Was a fun experience learning about the ingredients and blue to pick them out before bringing them back to cook. Great experience overall.

Top tier experience. Very entertaining and just an overall nice experience. Alice was wonderful guide and host and the food is very yummy

Fantastic experience and would highly recommend. Alice was knowledgeable and patient in answering all our questions! The food was amazing too! Great way to learn how to make Japanese food from an expert!

Allce was a wonderful tour guide. She took us to many interesting places and was very knowledgeable everywhere we went.

Since I ended up doing this experience alone with Alice, it turned into a private cooking class. Unfortunately, I missed out on the excitement of cooking with a bigger group, but at the same time, I was lucky to have a private session with a local Japanese woman and share some truly unique experiences.First, we went to the supermarket, where I got to choose what to eat. After that, we prepared the different dishes while eating and drinking typical Japanese wine.It was a great experience that I highly recommend. There was a lot of variety, and the food was delicious and easy to recreate at home. In total, we spent almost 3 hours together.Thank you Alice 💙

Everything was incredible! Alice was very kind and knowledgeable! A great experience and delicious food. 10/10 would recommend!

Incredible! Alice was very open to our preferences in food. She was lovely to talk to and did an amazing job at explaining how to make the food! A lot of variety in the food, all really well made. Absolutely recommend!

Alice’s cooking class was superb! The food was fresh and delicious. She’s a wonderful teacher. I cannot recommend this class enough.

It was a great experience and Alice was fantastic. She took her time showing us how to prepair all the different dishes. WONDERFUL.

Alice greeted us warmly at the pick up location, which was easy to find. She was immediately a friend! Alice set us up for success and provided great instruction. The experience was relaxed and informative with delicious food as an outcome. The miso soup was excellent! I picked up some tips that will help sushi preparation at home be more flavorful and successful! Would love to have spent a little more time in the supermarket at the beginning of the experience.

Alice did an amazing demonstration of authentic cooking The food was delicious and fun to make! Definitely a must do!

Alice was an exceptional guide! She was as so personal and funny. We had a blast! My kids ages 13 totally loved talking with her and sharing their interest. Our driver was phenomenal and the car was VERY comfortable. The driver … excellent 😁. I highly recommend Alice if you take this tour. We had a private 8 hour custom day and was so well worth it but Alice made it an A+. 5+ stars ⭐️ . Felt like a friend showing us around. Scott and Family

Alice did a wonderful job of teaching us about the ingredients and cooking them while having fun. I am eager to try the recipes at home!!

A great experience from start to finish! Alice was so sweet and walked us through every delicious meel, and we had great talks over a long dinner! Definitely took back some great recipes, engaged with Japanese culinary culture, and had a wonderful time, especially for the price!

This excursion was so much fun. Alice took us to a real grocery store for authentic ingredients and showed us how to use them to create the most delicious meals. She kept great conversation and explained everything we did step by step. The meeting location was easy to find based on the instructions. I would recommend this event for anyone who enjoys authentic cuisine.

Great experience! Perfect class for families!

A wonderful hands-on class with a good mixture of making, tasting, and learning. Alice made the class very easy to follow!

Our family of five adults had an absolutely amazing time with Alice. This was much more than just a cooking class—it felt like being welcomed into a friend’s home and experiencing authentic Japanese culture firsthand. The experience started with a shopping trip where Alice introduced us to local ingredients and explained what we would be using. That alone was fascinating and added so much value to the class. Once we arrived at her beautiful home, she made everyone feel comfortable and excited to get started. We learned how to make several delicious dishes, including sushi, Japanese eggs, eggplant, cucumber salad, and chicken teriyaki. Everything was hands-on, easy to follow, and incredibly fun. Alice is a fantastic instructor, patient, knowledgeable, engaging, and always willing to answer questions. She made sure everyone was involved and having a great time. She was super accommodating to one vegetarian person in our group as well. The food was outstanding, and enjoying it together with wine, sake, and tea made the experience even more special. The atmosphere was relaxed, welcoming, and full of laughter. What really made this tour stand out was Alice herself. Her kindness, warmth, passion for cooking, and genuine hospitality turned a cooking class into one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. She created memories our family will talk about for years. If you are looking for an authentic, fun, and memorable experience in Tokyo, do not hesitate to book with Alice. We would recommend this experience 100% and would happily do it again.Thank you, Alice, for such a wonderful day!

We had a great time with Alice. We made several simple enough and delicious dishes and we got to taste them fresh unlike other classes where you have to wait until the end. Alice explained everything step by step, it was easy to follow. Also great conversation along with a little plum wine. Thank you!

Alice made the class enjoyable and welcoming. We discovered simple and tasty dishes to recreate at home.

The classes are very interesting, the food is very good, and Alice makes the class engaging. We had a great time, and I didn't notice the time passing.I highly recommend it.

Alice was a very engaging and interesting instructor! We had a wonderful time and learned new things and loved the food!

We lucked out on our tour. We were the only 3 people on it. Aluce was our tour guide and she did an awesome job!! We started at a sushi restaurant where we had multiple courses of sushi. We had a variety of tuna and some eel, mackerel and salmon. One of the courses was miso soup with clams on the bottom. We also got a drink with our meal. We all chose the Sake. At the next stop we sat at a traditional Japanese table where we cooked our wagyu beef. We also had rice and bone broth soup. The Wagyu was exquisite. Last stop was ice cream. I had strawberry, my husband had cafe mocha and our son had sweet potato. She then took us to our station since on our way there we got lost in the station!! I highly recommend this tour, especially if you're a foodie😍

Alice was a wonderful and informative guide! She helped form the experience for our 3 year old toddler as well. The food was amazing and she knew all the best spots. We ended our experience with a beautiful walk in a park. Loved it loved it loved it!! Highly recommend this tour.

We had an excellent experience cooking with Alice! The dishes we made were all tasty and very well taught

Alice was such an amazing tour guide. She made Tsukiji a very enjoyable experience compared to when I went by myself. The cost was extremely reasonable and the tour lasted around 3.5 hours. Alice’s experience as a tour guide was very important for finding the cute tiny spots.

An amazing morning spent with Alice. She was very friendly and helped us make a delicious meal. Highly recommend.

Alice organised 2 great restaurants where we ate amazing susi and wagyu beef. We topped off the evening with a tower view and ice cream. I would highly recommend this foodie tour and Alice as your guide.

Alice was fabulous. Loved the cooking class and we learned a lot. Sake and Plum Wine were good. Sushi was amazing!

What a pleasure it was to meet you, Alice, today and visit the local supermarket to pick up fresh ingredients. I especially enjoyed walking through the aisles and learning about the different types of soy sauce available. The cooking studio was local, spotless, and very welcoming, and it was such fun learning how to prepare a delicious Japanese lunch. The recipes and steps were easy to follow, and I can’t wait to try making everything again when I get home.Thank you again, Alice, for such a relaxed, enjoyable session and for all the fun. Sad it's all come to an end. Thanks again.

Amazing! Great value for money. Excellent food! Plenty to eat. Great fun. Cook. Eat. Drink. Alice was wonderful. Very welcoming and knowledgable. So glad we did this. Highly recommend it.

Alice was a great host with plenty of interesting facts, laughs and easy meals you can do at home. Food was tasty and plenty of it. Highly recommend this small group experience.

Alice provided great information and helped us to cook on a very entertaining manner. The meal was filling and we all hope to recreate the dishes at home. Thank you.

This was a wonderful experience, Alice was super helpful and patient. Great experience for the whole family, and the sushi was amazing. Highly recommended.

Alice was so fun! She knew all the right places to go and let us try things (and buy souvenirs!) if something caught our eye. Very knowledgeable and interactive tour. Would recommend to all the food lovers!

Alice was wonderful! Very knowledgeable about the market and gave a wonderful and flexible tour. Excellent for solo travelers!

Really good experience. Alice was a wonderful host: knowledgeable and wordly. We cooked up a storm and a lot of food to eat. I have now added Japanese to my food and cooking

Booking was easy and the directions to the meet up spot were easy to follow. My husband and I had already been in Japan for 12 days at this point and had so much good food. We were super excited to learn how to cook some. Alice was an amazing teacher. We stopped by the market to grab some ingredients and then a few minutes later we were chopping cucumber. Our group was fun, all from the US, some had just arrived in Japan and some were about to leave. Alice created a warm environment and the night flowed smoothly from drinks to food back and forth the whole time. It was so delicious, we have even recreated a few of the recipes at home. Alice made it so easy and provided the recipes after. I would recommend Alice and this tour to anyone, especially if you want to be able to recreate some of the amazing food of Japan.

This class was on my bucket list / in my saved activities for a year. I went with my mom and cousin and we had the best time! Our instructor was Alice, I cannot wait to come back and take another class with her. She was funny, patient and the food was delicious. The market tour was informative and the studio that we cooked in was cute and clean! I learned a lot about the culture and each dish it was a great time and I cannot wait to return with more friends and family members. The sake part was just a tasting and nothing more but we did have other yummy beverages

We really enjoyed this cooking class, we went as a family of four (two teenagers). Alice was great and made the evening really fun. The food was also really delicious.

Delicious even if you are nervous about trying. There are many traditional dishes. We will definitely try some of these dishes at home!

The whole family enjoyed cooking a range of Japanese dishes. Alice was so welcoming and supportive of the kids (4 & 7yr old). They had a great time shopping, preparing and eating the meal.

Alice is a very good cooking teacher. Thanks for the sharing. Highly recommand it

Jim and Alice are very engaged and good at explaining how sumo has been through time.

I ended up being the only one on the tour but Alice was fantastic! She was keen to understand my interests to cater the tour how I wanted. We covered everything in the itinerary and because it was just me, we also had time to fit in some extra visits I wouldn’t have otherwise known about. The lunch at Beef Professional was also stellar and was a restaurant not on my radar, so really happy we got to go there. Cannot recommend enough

Exceptional experience, fantastic food, great vibe, and Alice was incredibly friendly. We prepared the food and all enjoyed the food together. Was a great way to end an evening. Make it an early part of your Tokyo plans!

This was a wonderful experience! Alice was very kind and helpful, everyone in the group had a great time. They were very accommodating with some people in the group preferring vegetarian options and some having certain preferences for types of fish. The omelette in particular was very fun! 100% recommend.

We had an absolute wonderful time with Alice as our Chef. We made a beautiful lunch with roasted eggplant, sushi, sashimi, miso soup, green tea, and saki! Alice was absolutely wonderful! Between taking us to the market to buy fresh ingredients and catering to our vegetarian needs, the dishes we made were all delicious!

Alice was very knowledgeable about cooking Japanese food and conversational. In addition, the foods made were simple and easy to make, which makes it all the more likely that I can incorporate these dishes into my own cooking repertoire.

Overall very wonderful experience, I will be doing it again for fun (and to see Alice again!!) in the future 😊
