Mich was a fantastic guide, engaging and enthusiastic as she led us through Osaka’s vibrant foodie districts. She brought the city to life with fascinating insights into its history and iconic sights, while introducing us to several delicious local dishes. A wonderful way to experience Osaka’s food and culture!

Excellent evening out in Osaka. Our guide Mich made it a very pleasant evening. Thank you very much.

We had a fantastic food tour with Mich through Dotonbori, and hidden gems around, sampling takoyaki, okonomiyaki. Mich fascinating stories about Osaka—“Japan’s kitchen”—and its food traditions made the experience especially memorable, from street food origins to the local habit of eating piping hot takoyaki despite the inevitable burn. Fun, authentic, and delicious, this tour is highly recommended for anyone visiting Osaka

It was an enjoyable walk through Dotonbori with an exciting mix of modern and vintage Osaka. The tasty and diverse cuisine keeps you engaged and wanting more. Thanks to our guide, Mich!

The tour is great, the guide Mich is really nice and her English is very good.

Mitch was on time, and had really great English! She was super informative and a great guide! We thought that the food samples were a little bit light on? But she did tell us that at the beginning. All in all was a great tour.

Our Local Foodie and Walking Tour in Dotonbori and Shinsekai was fantastic. Our guide Mich was brilliant. We were very lucky to be the only two guests on this tour so we got her undivided attention. It gets very busy in the evenings so you need to stay close to her when following through the crowded streets and pay attention! There was more food than what we could eat and we also were allowed 3 drinks, (alcoholic or non alcoholic). Her commentary was very informative and interesting and we learnt a bit more about the Japanese history and culture, particularly around the food scene. We would highly recommend this evening tour.

We did this tour last night with Mich. we were extremely lucky that there was only the 2 of us on the tour so it was very personalised. It was a very, very hot summer night and there is a lot of walking but we managed to keep up. The information Mich provided on the history and food culture was very interesting. Mich is well travelled and appreciates other cultures and nationalities. The places we visited were really alive with so many people. The restaurants she took us to were excellent and the food was plentiful and of high quality. We also saw lots of other highlights that you see in promotional videos on Osaka. There is a subway train section you need to go on but you can tap on and tap off either credit card or transport card if you have one. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening and would highly recommend this company and Tour Guide Mich.

Mich was great!! Very nice, and knowledgable. She helped us navigate the market on a rainy day. Highly recommend this experience.

Mich was an absolute fantastic guide. We learnt so much from her and she was a joy to be around. Thanks Mich 😊

Very informative and friendly tour guide, we enjoyed trying the different foods and walking through market

More food than I could eat. Friendly guides and very informative information about the area. Highly recommend this tour.

The foodie tour was very underwhelming , the selection of restaurants were appauling , the food was awful and the venues lacked atmosphere . A foodie tour should involve tastings at the best restaurants in Osaka not sitting in a bus trying deep fried chicken skewers. Our guide was lovely thoguh .

MICH is exceptional. Choose MICH if you have the option. I would highly recommend booking with MICH. A combination of being genuine, kind, professional, entertaining, engaging, and fun. The places she took me were delicious and she is very informative. I would have booked another tour with her if there was time. When I go back to Osaka I will definetly book with Magical Tour – Osaka and request MICH.

Mich was such a wonderful guide! We got to enjoy the Pontocho in the quieter morning, and learn more about the history of that part of Kyoto. The brunch location was lovely and the food was delicious. And the small bites throughout the market were also great. I wish we’d been able to sample more food from the market stalls themselves! But the logistics of a group in such packed areas, plus trying to finish eating at each location before moving on, made that understandably tough. We ran back in after the tour to grab a couple of unique things we walked by earlier. Overall, recommended! And then plan for some extra time for yourself to grab things that stand out from the market afterward.

The bar hop was terrific. There was a great range of food and the drink offerings were varied also.Mich, our leader took us to three great venues where we thoroughly enjoyed the local atmosphere. What a night. We recommend it to all visitors. Thank you so much. Thank you Mitch.

We are SO glad that we booked this tour! Our guide was so easy to talk to, and there was never a dull moment. She also taught us a lot about Osaka’s history during the tour, and we saw a bunch a little places that we never would have found ourselves. This tour truly made a world of difference for our time in Osaka!

Mich is incredible. Highly recommended this tour. The food, the history, the tour was worth every penny. Mich is genuine and kind. I would book another tour with mich.

We were lucky enough to experience this food tour with Mich as our guide. Mich was knowledgeable about all things including food. The food was excellent and plentiful. It was a great way to get our bearings in Osaka and understand the city and country a little more!! Thank you Mich.

This was a great introduction to street food and the entertainment districts in Osaka. I’ve been to Japan many times but I learned more about Japanese food history from Mich than from all my other visits.

Had a great time on the tour with Mich. The length was just right and good and drinks at the places we stopped were very good.

Thank you, Mich, for a very insightful and delicious tour. Would highly recommend.

We got to try loads of dishes around Chinatown - not too much walking involved. Our guide Kris was lovely and made sure everyone was enjoying the tour all evening. I only eat fish (no meat) and he was very kind to ensure I had enough dishes to try also. I don’t think the tour would be suitable for a vegetarian though as many places we went didn’t have vegetarian alternatives on the menu.

Mich was amazing!! Funny, smart and shared a lot of knowledge about the area we were in. She was also so fun! Loved the bars and the food and drinks we got at each bar. This was my third time on a Magical Trip experience and would definitely do it again. Mahalo (thank you) from Hawaii!

We had an amazing time on the Osaka Bar Hopping Night Walking Tour in Namba, thanks to our wonderful guide, Mich. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience fun and comfortable. Mich took us to great local bars we would have never found on our own and introduced us to delicious Osaka dishes—every stop was a highlight! She shared interesting stories about the area and Japanese culture, and her energy made the night unforgettable. We truly felt like locals for an evening.

very informative while touring with Mich and was a very enjoyable walk, also was good to eat some of the local food along the way, will recommend to family and friends if traveling to Japan, two thumbs up.

Our guide, Mich, was both engaging enthusiastic when teaching us about the food and culture of Osaka! The food we tasted was served in very generous portions. She also took us to some of the local sights along the way of the tour which really added to the whole experience!

Had a wonderful time with our guide. She was pleasant and informative. The venues was good, it was nice places we would never had found by ourselves.

Mich was very nice and the tour was great! She showed us around the markets and taught us a lot of stuff.

I booked the Osaka Bar Hopping tour to experience some of the different food and drinks that Osaka is know for. As it turns out I was the only one who booked the tour for that night. My tour guide, Mich, was very knowledgeable about the food and drinks in the Osaka area. Overall a great time! Would highly recommend!

A great tour and a great time! Me and my friends continued talking about how much fun we had for the entirety of our trip.

Very nice tour would have been at a loss without the guide. She was very friendly, informative and fun to be with!

Food was good, guide was friendly and informative. Wasn't ready for the steps however.

We had a great time on the tour. Meeting point was clear and our guide (Mich) was friendly, caring and very knowledgeable. Her English was very good too. The tour was more than just food…Mich explained the culture and history too. Overall, a very satisfying tour and would recommend. My 13yr son also loved it. Thank you Magical Trip - Osaka!

The tour was a lot of fun and Mich was a great guide. Went to three very different locations. Highly recommend the tour as an experience in Osaka

Really fun walking food tour in Osaka. Our guide Mich was great and was so knowledgeable on the food and other history of the area. My husband is gluten free and she did her best to accommodate this (although most of Osaka’s native foods are fried in batter). Our only complaint is it would have been nice to have a few more food samples. Fun and interesting afternoon out.

Our tour guide Mich was lovely! The food at the restaurant was great and she explained which are Osaka’s specialties so we could try them. Walking through hidden alleys showing the history of Osaka gave the tour something more than just drinking and eating. Definitely recommend, perfect for solo when you want to know some good spots!

The Osaka food tour was super fun! Mich was great and took us to some very cool spots. I would definitely recommend this tour to first time visitors.

Mich provided an eclectic range of information on history, food and local manufacturing and their products. The markets were a visual feast. We loved the variety of the tasting. Mich is a great guide.

Rika & Michiko were the best guides! Super friendly and personable . Very informative about the foods and drinks we sampled, along with great travel conversion about Kyoto, Japan and abroad. Highly recommend this food tour!

We had such a great night on our food tour. The guides were excellent and super knowledgeable about local cuisine. Highly recommend this tour!

All right. Very good food. Very good guide. Very interesting tour. It was our first day in Osaka and it has served to place us.

Exceptional tour with Mich. Fantastic experience with great food tastings- the squad balls and pork buns were awesome

We had so much fun and learned so much on our food tour of Nishiki Market. Mich was an excellent guide who not only gave us a great tour, but was a kind and lovely person. She showed us some great spots, gave amazing advice on what to see and notice, and educated us on Kyoto. Our only regret is that we don’t have more time in Japan to take more of her tours. Highly recommended, a highlight of our time in Kyoto.

The tour was amazing! Mich was a good host! She was fun, she gave us inside info about the history of the city and the places we all drank/ate at were also mecha oishi! Would definitely book another tour with Mich again! Arigato Gozaimus Mich!!!

Trip was amazing. Mitch, who was guiding the experience was great and fun. It was plenty of good food and drinks. Highly recommend this experience if you want to have fun, laughs and great times.

Mich was very knowledgeable about Japanese food culture and the history of the food in the region. She also showed us the best places to get the best crab meal.

Mich was a fantastic guide teaching us about Osaka and the surrounding area. She even went the extra mile to help us learn some Japanese!

Great evening exploring Osaka nightspots. Delicious food and strong drink options. Our guide, Mich, was friendly, knowledgeable, and funny. We learned a lot about Japanese night culture along the way.

Mitch was absolutely fantastic. She was so cute and considerate, we loved spending the morning with her. We cannot recommend this tour enough. It was probably the least expensive tour we did in Japan and it yet was the one we enjoyed the most. Thank you Mitch for the lovely tour.

We ended up having a very personal tour with just the two of us and our lovely guide Mich. it was a great experience and would recommend. Got to see some great places as a tourist you would never know about.

This is one of the first things we did on our trip, and not only did the tour have some great stops along the way our guide Mich was able to show some of the history in Osaka from rebuilding after WWII. The combination of great food, drink, and being shown some history from a local made it a great experience - especially with vegetarians in the group. The only downside was that we had to revisit Namba to stop and get pictures at a few of the sights we saw just around the area, but we got great photos of our group and of the sights the tour stopped at.

Mich was such a knowledgeable and fun guide through Osaka! She shared interesting facts behind the city’s history and food through all of our stops on the tour. When I booked the tour I left a note stating it was going to be on my birthday, Mich then went above and beyond and surprised me with a doughnut to celebrate, which was so sweet! Thank you for making my birthday trip to Osaka so special!

Had an absolutely fabulous time on the tour, Mich was very friendly and knowledgeable. She took us to places that we probably wouldn't have found on our own and really looked after us. A great tour with delicious food, all brought together by a very professional tour guide who knew her stuff. Great value for money, I would thoroughly recommend.

We had a great time on the food tour with Mich! She was so knowledgeable about Osaka so we learned a lot more than just about the local food! This was a great way to spend our first night in Osaka and get an introduction. Would highly recommend!

Mich was so interesting and engaging. The food was fantastic and very generous. 10 pieces of kushikatsu and two drinks at the first stop and we made our own okonomyaki at the second, with another drink. We were very full at the end of it!

The trip was amazing and I ate good! It was also great to see all of the best sights in the city and get a breakdown of Osaka’s history. Come for the fundamentals of Osaka and leave with a fully belly and deep appreciation of the city.

Had a good time on tour, got to try a number of local Osaka cuisines. The city has a lot of character and a lot to offer, radio out

The tour was amazing , our tour guide, Michico was terrific, she was very knowledgeable and personable .She made sure to explain everything about Osaka, It's wonderful food and it's origins.Very informative and fun. I will make sure to recommend this tour to all of my friends and family.

Our tour was so much fun. Mich showed us around, we learnt about the culture and local tourist attractions. The places we went to eat were delicious and it was a really fun night out. Highly recommend

Our guide, Mich, was very kind and knowledgeable. She planned the tour perfectly with gastronomic tasting and Japanese cultural + historical facts. This is definitely an experience way above our expectations. Recommended to all tourists.

Mich was a fantastic tour guide! The tour was just with my friend and I, and she made it a great mix of fun & informative. It was cool to see Osaka in all its glory. Thanks again Mich!

Saw some real hidden areas of the market that we wouldn’t have found without a guide. Got a great insight into various food we haven’t tried before. Fabulous tour would highly recommend!

I had a great time exploring the sights, sounds and food of Osaka. Mich was an excellent guide and a lot of fun. She went out of her way to give insight into much more than just the food culture. Lots of good picture opportunities. Would highly recommend!

Mich was great! We learned a lot about the area and the local markets and tried some great food we would have not found otherwise.

Mich gave us a great tour, we tried some awesome foods and she gave us some wonderful information about Kyoto and Nishiki Market. Highly recommend!

Very nice tour and Mitch was a very nice guide. The food we tried was nice to have tastes and she also told us some things about Japanese culture which was very interesting.

My mom, sisters, and I had a wonderful time on walking and food tour! We especially loved our tour guide’s insider knowledge on local history, unique places, and on what makes Osaka special! We loved trying all the food too :) We loved exploring Shinsekai and Dotonbori!

A well run tour with lots of information provided. Highly enjoyable, our tour guides were friendly and were only too happy to answer questions.

Mich was sweet, informative about the area, and pointed us in the right direction to continue to have an amazing time even after the tour. Great bar spots with a mix of intimate/calm and wild/fun atmosphere. My husband and I even made a friend from the tour as a result. Thank you so much for the fun time, Mich!

I enjoy history and I enjoy food. This tour was a great combination of both. We walked around a couple of the shotengai (roofed market streets) where my tour guide Michi explained the history of the street and of some of the shops. She was extremely knowledgeable of the history and also provided advice about what prices are fair within the market. Overall a great time

The tour was great, we learnt a lot about the history and culture of Osaka whilst eating traditional foods. Highly recommend

We had a great experience with Mich in Osaka food tour. Mich is very knowledgeable and experienced, showed us around historical areas and introduced local food to us.

We had an amazing time. We are great food, learned about Kyoto and its history, and just enjoyed our time together. I highly recommend this tour.

The food was great, the drinks were amazing, the guide was SOOOO nice and we had so much fun!! We got some interesting insights and took really cute photos and videos.

Michi was great! Showed us all the good food spots in the market, and the market was a great experience. All the foods are affordable and fresh

It was a nice tour around Osakas Street food scene - thanks so much!

Great trip & tour guide Mitch. Experienced the local culture, food and history over the years. The Okonomiyaki was especially delicious. Really enjoyed it. Mitch look a lot of photos of the trip and posted it online for us. Overall a great night!

Mich was friendly and knowledgeable. She took us to a part of Osaka we did not know existed. It was fun learning the history of old Osaka. We enjoyed the tour more than the food, but overall an enjoyable experience.

Mich was great! She provided in depth details about the history of Osaka city and the food scene. We got to see so much of the town and try amazing food.

We certainly saw a different side to Osaka on this tour - crowds of party animals, lively shopping alleys, advertising & food places. Our guide whizzed us around. The best foodie part of the tour was making our own pancakes.

Mich our guide was great ver friendly and knowledgeable ! Helped show us around. All the Food was good too and so were the drinks!

Amazing ! I enjoyed this tour, Mich was very nice and provided a lot of information about Japan and the culture! It made me discover new adress and street in Osaka !

Really informative walking tour of the food market. Small group was an advantage and the pace was easy. Our guide was able to answer our questions and provide great recommendations.

The experience was so chill but exciting. Guide was amazing, friendly and informative. Would totally book again for other experiences.

We spent a lovely evening learning about Japanese, Kansai and Osakan culture as well as tasting some delicious local foods with our tour guide, Mich. She was so friendly and knowledgeable. We received the photos she had taken throughout the evening within a couple of hours of the tour ending.

Great introduction to the amazing food of Osaka and the places to try all the local specialties. Lots of fun and a very generous amount of food included. Mich was a friendly guide and gave us great foodie tips for the rest of our stay!

A fun tour with Michiko (mahalo)! She was a great guide and it felt like meeting an old friend. Michiko was nice, knowledgeable about Kyoto and we had a lot of fun. We tried samples that we would not otherwise have tried without our guide. I would note that the tour ends at the market, so you don't start eating until the second half of the tour. We had several samples, and ate at the restaurant closer to lunch hour instead of brunch. I skipped breakfast as another review mentioned this... But do not recommend to do so lol.

It was a great Tour in Osaka! Michiko san was so friendly and shared with us all the history about the city! and the food was amazing!!!!!

Mich
