Shibuya has a lot going on, and this was without question the best way to experience it in one night. Hy, our guide, really knew his stuff. He took us to some amazing places that we never would have known about. I cannot over-emphasize what a knowledge person he was to have at our disposal. I would recommend this to anyone that wants to see sneaky-great parts of Shibuya that have really great, fun energy and are also free of tourists.

Hide was was amazing and so knowledgeable . Took us places that weren’t on the radar at all near shibuya. You wouldn’t think it was possible to go where tourists weren’t over running your surroundings, but it was sweet- local spots with flavorful amazing food and a super friendly guide named Hide.

H-Dawg (Hide) was one of the best tour guides I’ve ever had! After an hour or so, it felt like a life-long friend. Not only did he show us an amazing evening of local spots frequented by locals rather than tourists, he also called a restaurant that was booked through the end of June and got us a reservation for a birthday dinner the day after tomorrow! We had my 16 year old daughter and 79 year old mother along—a great time was had by all!!

This was a fun way to explore the area. Every stop had great food and drinks and Hide was an excellent host, he took us to some great spots, and walked us through some areas I’ll be exploring again soon.

Fun, interesting, Hide related really well to everyone. Great stories, great food and drink. Karaoke was a hoot! Learned alot about Japan and Tokyo (in particular, history)--will definitely recommend him to anyone visiting Tokyo. Also helpful in non-tour-related advice.

So so much fun, would recommend to anyone wanting to have a great time. Hide was the most amazing guide, definitely book if you want to enjoy your night.

Hide was an excellent tour guide. We all had fun and the bars were great. There was plenty of food and Hide assisted with food allergies.I recommend this tour particularly as a starter for your trip as it provides good knowledge of the bar culture.

Absolutely amazing had a great time the food was really really good and u get to see the local places and go through some really cool spots would highly recommended to anyone

Amazing your guide Hide. He is a local resident and has a global background in travel so he understands the needs of the tourist. Himself as someone who also espouses the benefit of vegan food, he understands the difficulties in sourcing meals in Tokyo. The two spots he took us to were both great. One was a sushi restaurant and the other was more contemporary with a fusion meal.

I had an awesome time. The food was delicious. Focusing places I would have never been normally. Found some gems, visited the Pokémon centre and finishing with Karaoke!!!! What a great way to spend my first day in Japan. Highly recommended even if you are not vegan !!!!

To be honest, I went to different food tour, night tour... but for this one, we expected and experienced the unexpected. Hied was an incredible host that was always willing to answer our questions and fulfil our requests as they came, lovely man.The group got along really well and we were brought together with Hide’s knowledge of the local area.

This tour is an excellent introduction to vegan dining in Tokyo. It was easy to find Hide with the orange Magical Tour sign as indicated in the tour information. I was the only guest that evening, so I was happy that the tour was not canceled. Hide is an engaging tour guide, with an easy going personality and appreciation of vegan cuisine. The vegan sushi (served with a delicious salad) at Gonpachi was superb. Paired the sushi with a cocktail. The restaurant has a panoramic view of Shibuya below. Staff there were quite friendly. After that meal, it's an easy walk to 2foods, a more casual spot where we enjoyed soy cutlets (imitating chicken convincingly) and a small bowl of ramen. Another (included) alcoholic beverage accompanied this meal. I was so impressed with the 2foods that I ate at their Ginza location a couple of days later. To conclude the evening, there is another opportunity to enjoy a cocktail and to perform a couple of songs at a karaoke bar. By 8:30, it was time to conclude the tour. Hide escorted me to the starting point, with clear directions on how to find the nearest Metro station entrance.

We had an awesome time !! Our host was Hide and he was great Food and drinks and places we went to we would have never gone to by ourselves. Easy to follow instructions to find our host at our meeting place.

We absolutely loved our vegan food tour with Hide. So relaxed and well paced and so entertaining. Gorgeous range of food. We went with a family of 4 with our 13 and 15 year old boys and all had a brilliant time. If you’re questioning whether to do it or not then just book it - you won’t regret it!
