We had an unintentionally private tour with Nina on Thursday, May 14th and had an absolutely incredible time. Not only were the food and drinks delicious, but I enjoyed our conversation with Nina even more! We covered everything from Japanese history and culture, to food and local traditions. I truly felt like we got a great taste of Osaka on our first full day there. Nina was an excellent guide and I cannot recommend her enough - if you are lucky enough to have her as your tour guide, you're in for a true treat. We would absolutely love to go around the city with Nina again!

Nina was a fantastic guide who showed me the charms of the Kyoto night scene. It’ll definitely be a highlight of my trip! 🍡

Nina was such a great host and we had so much fun. Was brilliant 10/10

Our guide, Nina, was so incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. She helped us understand the history of Kyoto and the culture while showing us around. The drinks and food at the venues were all so delicious. This was our second Magical Trip tour and we would highly recommend them.

Nina, our guide was excellent. I cannot say enough good things about her and this tour! I’m so glad I did the tour. She was so well-versed and knowledgeable about Fushimi-Inari and not only that but about a lot of the cultural history of Japan. It was truly amazing to have gotten to experience Fushimi-Inari away from the masses of people. The hike off the beaten path was exactly my kind of adventure. I would recommend this tour to anyone coming to Kyoto. Also, the tour company was so gracious. I accidentally missed the day I was scheduled for, and they so kindly rescheduled me for the following day. Truly a memorable experience during my time in Kyoto. Arigatou gozaimasu.

Did the “ Osaka Bar Hopping NightWalking Tour in Namba (3 bars,6 tastes)” with Nina.It was an interesting tour.Basically visited 3 bars with the 1st bar offering unlimited drinks, 2nd one with Japanese sake or some cocktails & the 3rd one offered a choice of- either whiskey or a cocktail.First 2 places also offered few food tasting options.Nina was engaging , sharing some interesting info regarding Sake drink. She also took some nice pics for us .All in all was a nice way to end our Japan visi.t

Nina was very friendly and knowledgeable. In addition to the scheduled stops, she took us on a walking tour of the area. It would be very intimidating for a first timer, but she guided us to very local areas.

Fantastic experience to go and try a variety of drinks and food across Dotonbori. My tour guide Nina was amazing at giving a very detailed explanation of osaka, osaka special foods and even numerous general topics. Especially getting to explore the Namba Dotonbori area. Definitely recommend

Had an amazing time with my tour guide, Nina. It turned out to be a private tour with just the two of us which made for an even greater personal experience. Nina spoke English, which was a major plus, and shared a lot about the Japanese culture. We had a lot of strolling around Gion district and exploring the different foods. 😊

Nina is a knowledgeable and great guide who adapts to whatever their customers wants or needs.I feel like I've had a great experience of what Osaka has to offer.

Nina was the perfect guide for my first visit and night in Japan! Had a lot of fun being able to immerse myself in the experience and not have to worry about a thing. We shared stories and laughs paired with great eats and drinks, I even managed to tick of the Glico man shot (as a solo traveller, having a guide/person offering to take photos is priceless!)

What a fun experience with Nina. Great tour, great food and ended in a whiskey bar - what more could one want. Loved that Nina took photos along the way and sent them to us via the Magical Trip email process

My wife and I had a wonderful time! Nina was super knowledgeable and friendly, offering great choices for food and advice on local attractions. We had a great time and would highly recommend this tour to anyone planning to visit Osaka!

We really enjoyed our guide, Nina. She was very knowledgeable and friendly. The food selected for us was fantastic. We would recommend this tour.

This was such a fun experience. I would highly recommend anyone who has a couple hours to spare to take this tour! Nina was super helpful and informative. It was a good balance of food and information. Highly recommend!

Nina was our guide and she led a fun and easy going tour both culturally and culinarily! It was a small group and Nina had a great depth of understanding and love of Japan culture and shared her insights. We would nightly recommend this tour and ask for Nina!!

Trip was great! Guide was very informative and helpful. Drink selection was good. Enjoyed seeing Osaka at Night with locals

Nina was awesome and a great guide. Learned a few new things about some local areas. Would highly recommend and will book again

We loved our host! She was very knowledgeable and friendly. She also knew multiple languages and was very knowledgeable in Japanese culture and recommendations. Personalized trip for my wife and me!

We had a great time on this tour with one other couple, as led by Nina. This tour was a great introduction to some restaurants and Izakayas we would not have discovered on our own. Easck of the 3 restaurants had a pre-set menu arranged with Magical Trip so that we could pick a drink and 2 of several options for food. Nina helped us make some special requests and answer questions, and we mostly just talked the evening away as we walked between locations, learning about Kyoto and eachother. The last izakaya was a real stand-out- we were led to a roof patio lit by cherry blossom branches, surrounded by sounds of the city and it could not have been more perfect. We would definitely recommend this tour to others!

We had a great a tour with Nina. Highly recommend, More than enough food and drinks for an evening and a very friendly tour guide.

Great trip, great food, great time all around. Our guide Nina was amazing, had a great time with her and all the places she showed us were really nice!

Nina was the sweetest guide! Definitely did some sightseeing on the way to the bars – surprisingly plenty of food to eat! Hungry and definitely become thirsty! The second place we went to was an all you can drink ! We had a fun group and it was a smaller size so you can still talk to each other and get to know folks if you want. Enjoyed walking around Namba!

Our group had a blast with Nina. She shared some Kyoto facts while taking us around to three different bars. Her insight into the food and drink culture was super helpful when ordering. I highly recommend this tour for a fun night out.

Nina was amazing! Tour was supposed to be 3 hours and we were having so much fun that it lasted 5.5 hours. We had a blast and can't recommend it more for anyone.

Nina set the vibes. We rode the wave. It turned into a tsunami (in the best way possible). We would re-take this tour, and any tour with Nina, every time we return to Japan (which will be many, because of Nina).

We agree with Dominik! We really enjoyed spending time with him and our host Nina. The tour was fun and easygoing. We would highly recommend this tour.

The tour was really great. Definitely do not eat before the tour as there is plenty to eat and drink during the tour. Nina was an amazing guide and we had such nice conversations. I would highly recommend this tour, especially if you want to experience the more local food and drink culture in Dotonbori.

I had the absolute pleasure of taking a bar tour with Nina and I can’t recommend them enough! From the moment we started, it was clear they knew their stuff—not just about the best drinks and hidden gems but also the history and culture behind each stop. Their energy was infectious, making the experience fun, engaging, and perfectly paced.

Kyoto amazing! Our guide Nina was very informative and friendly and funny. ❤️✨ good food and drinks and company. The food was amazing

Good food all throughout the tour. Really enjoyed places you got to visit along the way as well. Nina was an awesome tour guide and showed us some really cool spots we hadn't seen before. Would recommend this tour to those new and familiar with Osaka.

The hike was wonderful and Nina was an amazing guide with a wealth of knowledge on Japanese history and Shinto/Buddhist traditions. I felt very connected with Nina and had an amazing time.

I really enjoyed this tour. Lots of delicious food and drinks and I learned a lot also. Nina was my guide and she was great at it.

The tour focuses on not just food but the history and architecture of the neighborhood. Our tour guide was a German woman I forget her name but she was really great

Nina was amazing! Her knowledge for Osaka, the food, and Japanese culture really made this an experience to remember! Would full recommend to anyone visiting Japan.

Fun evening exploring the food hubs of Osaka. Our guide made the tour that more special! Great way to have a true feel for the amazing Japanese street markets.

This has been the most fun I’ve had in my two years of traveling the world. Highly recommend. Once in a life situation with Nina!!!!

Excellent tour around the Doutonbori bar sites. It was very insightful, enjoyable and interesting. Nina was a fantastic tour guide who knew lots about the surrounding areas, culture and food, drinks. Nina was very passionate with her work and also very friendly. She speaks very fluently English. In addition, her presentation was so great 👍 Highly recommend.

Really lovely night and great tour with Nina! She was super personable and very knowledgeable. Would highly recommend

Great food tour with Nina - the best guide! We ate all the local foods and saw all the best sights for a few hours, would really recommend.

Great food and drinks, and nice places that I wouldn‘t have found myself! We had an amazing night, thanks to Nina! It was especially nice to hear a few german words from her :)

We enjoyed walking through the Dotonbori and Shinsekai areas with Nina’s guidance and commentary. She did some cultural exposition along the way, e.g stopping at a Shinto shrine. We stopped at one restaurant for Kushi-Katsu and a second for Okonomiyaki which are Osaka specialties. Nina did a great job making the group comfortable with their surroundings and took time to learn a bit about each person in our group of 6. The food was tasty and drinks were included at each stop. Walking through these districts was a great experience for anyone wanting some insight into the goings on in Osaka, the “ kitchen of Japan. We would have appreciated a bit more detail about the food origins, preparation, etc…

Amazing trip our tour guide did a good job educating us and also being very personable. Nina made the whole experience worth wild.

Amazing!! Highly recommended hiking trip. Great way to get out of the busy city. Nina was the perfect guide. Got some great pictures.

Nina was very friendly & knowledgeable! The experience was so fun. The hike was perfect, took us out of the city & into a beautiful forest. It was not too challenging, but be prepared to go up stairs & across some thin rocks.

Our hike with Nina as our tour guide was a fabulous experience. She led us along a hidden, tranquil path, far from the usual crowds, allowing us to fully appreciate the beauty of Fushimi Inari. Nina was not only warm and friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable, sharing fascinating insights about the site’s history throughout the journey. The company of fellow international travelers made the experience even more enjoyable.

Our guide was very knowledgeable, laid back, and enjoyable to converse with. She took us to a lot of delicious places while showing us a variety of places along the way. Definitely recommend!

Nina was a wonderful guide, who was very informative. A wonderful off the beaten track hike that missed much of the crowds.

Nina was great, knowledgeable and helpful in navigating us through the sake breweries and bars. Enjoyed the experience and would highly recommend it to anyone!

The Inari Shrine was magical! The group, and my guide Nina were wonderful and I had a very good workout doing this hike, definitely recommend ✨

This was my first night in Osaka, and it was amazing to explore the bars and nightlife with Nina and the friends who joined us. Nina was cheerful and caring, just like the others, which made the night so enjoyable. I’m sorry I couldn't handle my drinks too well and missed the chance to chat more, but everyone made me feel totally at ease. It was such a wonderful experience and a perfect start to exploring Osaka. Thank you so much! ❤️

I had an absolute blast on this tour. It was my first night in Osaka, and Nina made sure that it was a memorable one. She was such a great tour guide and made sure we had a fantastic time making our way through the various Izakayas of Osaka! Would highly recommend!

Nina was a great tour guide. Very welcoming and she took us to three unique spots with great food and drinks. It was a nice way to tie off my stay in Osaka

Nina was awesome. She did a wonderful job exploring various bars, etc. She was knowledgeable and very nice and professional. Our family loved Nina. Thanks again.

The tour was great, it was an enjoyable experience, I think the tour would be better in smaller groups, and the tour guide is just building her experience, so after a few more tours the approach should improveThe lat place where they had karaoke was not the best karaoke experience I had in Japan

Nina is very kind person and very and very knowledgeable in the subject. It was a pleasure to be with her and to be able to share cultures and experiences.

What ended up being a private tour, I had a fantastic night with guide, Nina, who was very positive and knowledgeable about Japan and the local area. We went to three off the beat, local venues which all provided such lovely food, drinks and service to ensure a great night.

We just finished an excellent Kyoto Night Foodie Tour with Hikaru & Nina. They were enthusiastic, informative, and friendly hosts. We learned a lot about the food culture of Kyoto, and we ended a fun evening with full stomachs!

Excellent tour. Our guide Nina was very knowledgeable and coordinated the tour seamlessly. The izakayas we visited were nice.

Amazing experience. Nina the host was 10/10. Not only did she give me amazing recommendations on food and drinks (especially sake), she gave an excellent cultural overview. Karaoke to end it was the icing on the cake!

Very nice barhopping trip in Kyoto with our guide Nina. Went to three different places and tried different food and drinks. Tour was very well organized and absolutely enjoyed!

Our guide was very informative and took us to some places that we would’ve never found on our own. The food was great and we liked the atmosphere of the restaurants we went to.

Guide was friendly and very knowledgeable. She was able to perfectly explain all the different cultural aspects and curate an inclusive environment. I had a wonderful time!

Excellent tour with great guides. Definitely went to places I would not have found otherwise. Great food choices, great drinks options and a lot of fun!

We had an amazing time with Ken and Nina! We visited 3 different bars including a karaoke bar- loved all the drinks and the food we tried. We had so much fun. Our hosts were fantastic. If you’re considering booking this tour, do it!

I booked this tour after reading a post on Reddit recommending Magical Trip. I’m so glad I did! My husband and I happened to be the only two on the tour with Hikari and Nina guiding us. We learned about the Fushimi Inari Shrine and mythology of each god. The hike was beautiful and we didn’t experience the large crowds as the route took us through the back. It was a bit rainy but we enjoyed it as it helped keep us cool. The hike wasn’t strenuous, but there were some areas that took a bit of effort. I highly recommend booking with Magical trip! This was a highlight of our honeymoon and Hikari and Nina made it such a special day for us.
