Just had a super tour of the Tsukiji fish market together with Ken. From superb nagaochi sushi through numerous stalls with special fish dishes he took us through Japanese food culture in the most excellent way. Sterling service, personality and language skills.

Very fun, getting to know the Akihabara area and its games was an excellent experience. Highly recommended if you want to know where you can shop for figurines later; the maid café was also very fun, it is definitely worth trying at least once. This was a great way to see the Tsukiji fish market.  The place is extremely crowded and there are hundreds of different stalls.  Without a guide it would be overwhelming to know what was going on.  This tour helped our family to learn about the history of the market and area, try foods we would not have sampled had we not been on a tour, and learn about the some key foods in Japanese cuisine.  Our kids (14 and 10) had fun making sushi rolls. We liked learning about ingredients and then seeing them sold at the stalls in the market.  Ken, our guide, made accommodations for our kids tastes when getting samples (instead of the red bean dessert he got our kids strawberry tanghulu, got beef options for our 10 year old who didn’t like sushi, etc.). Walking around  this market felt like a mix of tourists and locals.  We really enjoyed this tour and would recommend it to others.

I highly recommend this walking tour of Kamakura.  It was easy for us to reach Kamakura by commuter train from Tokyo and to meet our guide Ken.  During the walking tour, Ken explained the history of each shrine and temple that we visited and showed us the proper etiquette to follow.   Because this was a walking tour, we were able to see many neighbourhoods and smaller streets that would be inaccessible to a bus tour.  It really gave us a feel for the town of Kamakura.  Along the way, Ken took many photos of my friend and myself and helped to arrange a delicious vegan meal overlooking the water.   At the end of the tour, Ken made sure that we were on the correct platform to get back to Tokyo.  Thank you Ken for a highly enjoyable day.  有難う御座います

We had an absolutely fantastic day exploring Tokyo with Ken as our guide. From the moment we met, he was friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful—especially when it came to navigating Tokyo’s train system, which made a huge difference to our confidence getting around.Our tour began at the vibrant Tsukiji Outer Market, where Ken guided us through the maze of over 400 stalls. The atmosphere was electric, and thanks to his local knowledge, we got to try some amazing treats—including pink strawberry mochi, fresh tuna sashimi (which I loved, even if my husband gave it a miss!), and a delicious egg omelette on a stick.We then made our way to Akihabara, where Ken showed us the quirky and nostalgic side of Tokyo. The retro gaming museum was a real highlight—so much so that we’re now regretting throwing out our kids’ old Gameboys!Next stop was Sensō-ji in Asakusa, the oldest temple in Tokyo. Ken shared fascinating insights into its history and traditions, which really added depth to the experience. We finished the day with a traditional Japanese lunch, rounding out a perfect mix of culture, food, and fun.Ken truly made the day special. His passion for Tokyo, attention to detail, and ability to tailor the experience to us made it one of the highlights of our trip. We would highly recommend him to anyone wanting an authentic and enjoyable introduction to Tokyo.

This tour was for the outer market, not the commercial market. It provided a helpful way to make sense of the stalls and sample multiple foods, culminating with lunch. We recommend this tour, inclusive of the finale which was a trip up to an observation deck to get a spectacular city view! Thank you Ken!

It was a nice tour in Tsukiji with so much to see of fish and seafood. However, I would have preferred to hear more about the history and traditions of fishing in Japan, as well as the thoughts on fishing ecology today. 
We tried a fantastic tuna, as well as smoked eel, sakura mochi cake and tamagoyaki (omelette). But according to the add I had expected to have some more tastings from the market. The final sashimi lunch bowl was quite ordinary.

Visit of 4 hours starting with Shibuja crossing,  a couple of additional iconic quarters of Tokyo,  Meiji Jingu Shrine amd ending with Senso-Ji Buddist temple. Ken picked us up and escorted back in the hotel in a timely fashion, a professional guide sharing plenty of interesting details and information. Highly recommended!

Ken my bit older Japanese gentleman was BEYOND!!!I didn't know a classier area even existed 😳 I was so impressed & stayed on exploring the amazing class Thrifting & new stores with Art & JAPANESE nice clothes... I bought some beautiful Trendy nice clothing....I'm not a foodie, but had an amazing lunch, although I was somewhat reluctant... OMG. Ken was the best guide in all my Travels. I don't like tours... but if everyone was like Ken I wouldn't mind more tours. Respectful & informative he got me, even if I didn't
