A perfect first night in Kyoto! Rika was a wonderful guide and introduced us to some of Kyotos neighborhoods and their history and then took us to 3 fabulous spots for food and drink. And boy did we eat and drink! We had only arrived mere hours before and this was an exceptional way to dive into the magic of Kyoto - plus our other fellow travelers Lisa and Chris were great company and conversationalists! A must do in Kyoto!

A personal experience in a fantastic location, sociable, well organised and an exceptional finish to the lesson was eating your own dish after cooking in the kitchen. Loved every moment and even bought a restaurant t-shirt.

Rika-san was absolutely perfect for us — we honestly couldn’t fault her!

I was a bit worried no one would show up at the meeting point, especially with the cold wind and our elderly family members who aren’t fond of winter. But Rika-san arrived 10–15 minutes early, completely prepared and so professional.

She’s incredibly knowledgeable, not just about Japan, but about life in general. What I loved most is how naturally curious she was — our conversations felt genuine, never scripted.

We were completely awed the whole evening, and Rika-san played a huge part in that. Thank you so much 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

Fantastic cooking class and experience, great instruction and a really fun time with a great bunch of people. 

Great way to learn about and appreciate the art of ramen.  Rikka did a great job explaining the ramen masters technique.  Highly recommended, you will eat ramen with confidence!

Amazing- great tour by Rika who’s super friendly and informative. Casual vibe and great meeting the other people in our group 😊 

We had a great time learning to prepare gyoza and ramen in this cooking class.  It was a great break from sightseeing in Kyoto, and the food was delicious!  The instruction was clear and made very fun.  Highly recommend.

The experience of meeting a Maiko was absolutely amazing. To be upclose and able to learn about their hard training and their life, to see them perform and play was way more than we had expected. A truly memorable evening! Thank you, Rika!
