This was a great tour and our guide Yumi was very knowledgeable and was great at answering all our questions! The island is beautiful and the shrine we saw was amazing. The deer were also very friendly!

lots of fun with Yuji, felt like going out with a friend.

Yuji is AWESOME!!!This walking tour guided by Yuji felt like stroll through Hiroshima history with good friend. Yuji was courteous and knowledgeable.

Great night out with fun little secret spots!

We took the tour with Yuji, and it was a very emotional and insightful experience. We had goosebumps the entire time. All the information, the deep insights, and the way Yuji told the stories were truly outstanding — a 5/5 experience. We highly recommend him. We had a lot of fun, and the food was absolutely delicious!Thank you, Yuji, for this incredible tour and for making our trip so special.

Yugi was terrific guide! Fun to hang out with and learn about Japanese culture. Food was good too!

Had a really great evening with Yuji in Hiroshima. Lots of delicious food - particularly okonomiyaki, sashimi, dumplings - all unique to Hiroshima.
Learned alot about Japanese culture, food and of course Hiroshima. Would highly recommend this tour!

Amazing 3-hour tour combining food, Japanese history and culture. We’ve gone to three different restaurants where we had okonomiyaki, beer, sake, gyoza, skewers and a sweet potato dessert with ice cream

We had a very pleasant and enjoyable trip guided by Yuji san. He is experience and have a great sense of humour, making the tour very interesting.

Yuji provided an amazing tour not only expertly covering a very sensitive and moving subject but also providing insight and tips to help navigate Japanese culture. Finishing the walk with a meal and drink perfect as was the recommendation for our next meal. Many thanks.Joy and Peter

I went on 3 food tours with Magical Trip. One in Tokyo, in Osaka and one in Hiroshima. It's unfortunate that booking with a good company doesn't mean you'll get a good tour guide! Osaka was disappointing as hell but this one in Hiroshima, with Yuji was really really awesome and well done. The food selection was interesting and included places or items that we may not get ourselves (which is what you want in a tour!), the conversations were really interesting and genuine. Our questions were all answered and we were able to discuss everything from history, to daily life to light politics to personal matters (and of course food!). After doing 3 of these tours, I really believe that what made this was special and really 'worth it' was because of our tour guide Yuji. Big thanks and highly recommended!

Fantastic and informative tour guide. Yuji was amazing and we thank Yuji for sharing this local knowledge and history. He also recommended some amazing places to visit for dinner. The gyoza place was phenomenal. Highly recommend 😁

Suji was our guide and was very personable and knowledgeable. Conversations were natural, and questions about the local history and culture were answered honestly. The route we took was very scenic, and all the food along the way was excellent. Definitely recommend this trip for those wanting to learn more about the local culture in Miyajima.

Yuji is a very nice and guide. He was able to give us a lot of background information about Hiroshima as well as about the food and drinks.

We had a tour with Yuji in Miyajima. It was a wonderful day spent with a very knowledgeable and local guide. The lunch was also delicious and we really enjoyed ourselves doing different activities. It was a little difficult navigating through the island on a national holiday but Yuji managed to squeeze us out of tight spots and walk through peaceful forest every now and then. Would do it again. Really impressed with the company and the way everything was handled after booking. Very professional and efficient.

The tour with Yuji was fantastic! We learnt so much. He has great communication skills & is very friendly. This tour has been a highlight for me on my Japan trip. Highly recommend this tour & Yuji

Yuri was an excellent tour guide, friendly and informative. Would recommend tour.

It was a pleasure! Good job Yuji! Thanks for telling us the history of your hometown. Greetings, Jörg and Christina

Yuji made it very enjoyable, lots of useful information and funny too. The pace was perfect, as was lunch and coffee stop. Would recommend to anyone. He even suggested taking the fast ferry back to Hiroshima Peace Park and helped us buy tickets…..great way to end the day. Thank you 🙏

We had a wonderful day with Yuji in Miyajima. He was so informative about the local history and culture that we didn’t notice the time fly by. Even though the island was very very crowded due to the long weekend, he manoeuvred us through the crowds expertly. The lunch was delicious and catered to our tastes graciously. We were impressed with Yuji‘s knowledge and professionalism and hope to return. We felt we definitely got value for money with this tour. Thank you!

We are not fans of organized trips but we joined this one on friend’s recommendation and oh, boy: what a great time we had! 3 restaurants with a decent selections of snacks and drinks but the true star was Yuij - our guide. We’ve learnt more from him about Japan, its culture, history and social aspects than reading guidebooks before coming here. Don’t hesitate - just book. Great experience, just be open minded and have fun.

Yuji was an absolute legend! So knowledgeable, and very likeable. We enjoyed his tour very much; we learned so much about the events, the impacts, the broader Japanese culture, and so much more - and he kept track of the whole group so easily! He answered all of our questions, and the pace was really good. Would highly recommend!!

The experience was moving and uplifting. The resilience of Hiroshima was revealing. The message of peace was encouraging.

Yuji, our guide, was excellent. He was knowledgeable and informative. He made the tour extremely worthwhile. I heartily recommend him.

This was an insightful tour. Yuji is super knowledgeable, helpful & kind. I’m so glad we were able to experience Hiroshima with his knowledge and guidance!

It was fun, informative and a great way to get to know a place filled with history and culture! Thank you Yuji!

Hello,On Sat, August 2025 09.30. Miyajima Half day Trip Historical Walking Tour.Met by Yuji at JR Miyajimaguchi Station. My first visit to Japan. It was a fantastic visual & educational experience appreciated by me, a 79year solo traveller. Yuji was awesome, very personable and really went out of his way.

What a great way to spend the evening; good company, good food, good drinks while exploring 3 local drinking spots. Our guide, Yuji was brilliant, telling some of the history of Hiroshima and highlighting Japanese rules and social etiquette that’s different from other places. I’d highly recommend this tour.

Very pleasent guide with good knowledge of Hiroshima history and fun facts! Really fun to meet other people from all over the world!

Fantastic experience with Yuji as our guide. He went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. He was friendly, upbeat, and incredibly knowledgeable. Couldn’t recommend this experience highly enough and will definitely be telling my friends and family about it.

Yuji was fantastic guide. Answered all our questions, was very informative and gave loads of information about Japanese culture aswell as the history of Hiroshima. Lunch at the end was gorgeous aswell. Thanks Yuji

Yuji did a great job, looking after us. Provided clear direction and was very informative, the locations were great and the food and beverages were plentiful.

Yuji and Mariko were exceptional today with our tour. Yuji was a wealth of knowledge, along with Mariko also providing valuable information to us. We couldn’t have a more pleasant couple showing us all of the sights and traditions! We also had my wife’s 80 year old parents with us, and they went above and beyond to make their day just that much easier. Extremely high praise from us! We can not speak highly enough for both Yuji and Mariko. Thank you.

Yuji was brilliant - very knowledgeable and great fun! Would definitely recommend the tour. The food was brilliant and the drinks were great!

Yuji was an incredible guide who made our Hiroshima food and barhopping tour fun and unforgettable. We discovered amazing local spots we never would have found on our own and enjoyed delicious dishes with great company. Highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Hiroshima!

Our guide Yuji, gave us a wonderful day. We are a german family of four. Two children aged 18 and 16. We had a lot of fun, although the topic here in Hiroshima is already very demanding. It was very informative, educational and yet very sensitive. Several places were visited, which impressively showed the atomic bomb dropping of the Americans on Hiroshima in the last days of the war. We were very touched. All in all, it was rounded off with a very nice meal and a craft beer. Thank you very much Yuji !

We had a great guide! He explained everything about Hiroshima, the bomb, the remained buildings, stories of people. He has a great knowledge about Hiroshima and is a very nice person. The tour was well organized.

I can’t recommend this Hiroshima walking tour enough! Our guide Yugi, was absolutely incredible — knowledgeable, kind, and deeply passionate about sharing the city’s history and resilience. He didn’t just walk us through sites; he brought the stories to life with such empathy, depth and personal stories. From the Peace Memorial Park to the hidden local gems, every stop felt intentional and meaningful. What stood out most was how Yugi balanced the heaviness of Hiroshima’s past with the hope and beauty of its present. It was informative, emotional, and inspiring all at once. If you’re visiting Hiroshima, do yourself a favour and book this tour. It’s an experience I’ll never forget.

Yuji and Yuri were excellent guides. Local knowledge with multigenerational stories that tied in wonderfully. Really closed the loop for our family with visits to Pearl Harbor, Los Alamos and now Hiroshima. Highly recommend

It was the most wonderful tour with Yugi. He took us to beautiful, delicious places in Miyajima. Walked and enjoyed the history, food, the people and culture. It was truly magical! We would love to return and will recommend his tour again and again!! Thank you!!!!

We really enjoyed our tour with Yuji. He did a great job explaining the history, telling stories, and sharing about modern Japanese culture. He made sure to have conversation with each of the guest and gave us so many recommendations for food and shopping in the area (which we tried and loved!) The 5 hours flew by. Highly recommend!

I had an amazing experience on this tour with Yuji. He provided incredibly insightful information about the Hiroshima atomic bomb—covering the events before, during, and after in a way that was both educational and deeply moving. His knowledge brought so much depth to each part of the Hiroshima Peace Memorial area.In addition to the historical aspects, we got to enjoy some wonderful cultural experiences. We visited the tower, folded paper cranes as a gesture of peace, and even shared a delicious lunch together. Yuji’s passion and thoughtfulness made the entire day memorable.I’m definitely going to recommend this tour to everyone I know visiting Hiroshima. It was a perfect balance of history, culture, and personal connection.

Very detailed visit in the company of Yugi, excellent guide, who told me a lot about Hiroshima before and after the bomb. We also visited together the whole park of peace and the touching museum that left an indelible memory in me. So many details that Yugi told in addition to the facts related to the nuclear bombing. Finally excellent lunch which was included in the price.

What a great food tour! Some stops had multiple options so we could choose what we wanted. Everything was authentic and unique to Japan, not to mention delicious too! Loved the Izakaya's we visited and our host, Kuji was knowledgeable and friendly. It was also nice to meet other travelers for an evening. Come hungry because you'll definitely be full after this tour!!

I had a fantastic experience touring Miyajima Island with Yuji and Yoshitake. They were not only knowledgeable and friendly but also very thoughtful in planning the day. They introduced me to some amazing local food spots, and every choice they suggested was delicious! Their insights into the history and culture of Hiroshima and Miyajima made the experience even more special. I felt truly welcomed and cared for throughout the day. Highly recommended if you want a memorable and well-rounded visit!

Yuji was a great guide for the whole day. Very knowledgable about the atrocities that happened in Hiroshima. If you want an in depth history lesson and also experience some of the gems of the city, I would highly recommend this tour.

We had an unfortgettable day and could not have wished for a better tourguide than Yuji. Yuji had an immense knowledge about Hiroshima past and present and was easy to talk to. We also valued the small size of the group (4 people) and how much we've learned beside the history (like geological facts or cultural insights etc.). Thank you so much.

Yugi is an excellent, well informed guide. We appreciated all the relevant stories and anecdotes, though against the background of a very tragic event.

Hiroshima is a place we felt we needed to learn about from a local instead of on our own. Yuji’s tour was exactly what we were looking for. It was fully worth the money and we learned so many things. Thank you for sharing Hiroshima with us, Yuji!

Yuji was excellent. He was extremely knowledgable about Hiroshima as a city and the events surrounding the A-bomb; sharing the local and global views. The trip was thoughtfully curated to showcase Hiroshima. It is worth paying for the small group setting. The cranes were a highlight. Would highly recommend for any visitor.

This was an amazing tour! Our tour guide Yuji gave us the best day we could have asked for! He was so informative about all of the history and the area and about Japan in general. Would highly recommend this tour to everyone!

The tour was educating and clear. We enjoy it. Lunch should be in other way during winter. it is too clod to eat outside . We still didn't get the pictures from the tour.

Excellent tour - our guide had great knowledge of the island and Japanese culture and religion. He was also attentive to the needs of the tour guests for coffee, food and rest!

As a Japanese person visiting Hiroshima for the first time on a business trip, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience, thanks to the incredible guide, Yuji-san. His words, based on personal and family experiences with the atomic bomb, carried deep meaning and allowed me to truly reflect on Hiroshima’s history and its people’s emotions from the time of the war to today.Despite the sensitive nature of the topic regarding atomic bomb, Yuji-san remained neutral and focused on using the past as a lesson for peace. The tour was well-structured with breaks and indoor activities, making it comfortable despite the cold. Ending with an activity at Orizuru Tower and delicious okonomiyaki at Micchan, the experience left me with a deep sense of learning and a positive feeling!

Yugi our guide was amazing!!!! His local knowledge and 1st hand experience made the tour extra special. We learnt so much on this tour and would highly recommend.

This was hands down one of the best things we did during our trip to japan! A comfortable walk around Hiroshima and our guide Yuji showed us so many good eating places (take notes so you can go back later if you stay for multiple days) and helped us out with some recommendations for the rest of our stay. He was great! You get to taste a lot of different food and drinks, though the first stop really fills you up so make sure to leave some space for the rest. We also had a grand time with Miho, who was learning the ropes, and she was a blast to hang out with! She really made you feel welcome and it was so fun to talk to her. We are so happy we went on this tour and would highly recommend it if you are looking for a fun and relaxing food tour.

Yuji & Ryuji were absolutely amazing guides!! They were both extremely knowledgeable and knew the best locations on Miyajima to visit. They were very accommodating, took excellent pictures and shared with me the best local spots for food. Very happy I booked this tour and I wouldn't hesitate to do another tour with either of them!

Such a moving experience. It was very informative and we learned a lot. Our tour guide Yushi and Yuka were both amazing. Definitely recommend.

Fabulous tour with Yuji and Rin who took us to many of the major sites and gave us loads of interesting information. We really enjoyed it and learnt a lot.

It was an amazing educational experience, given to us in such a perfect timeline, thank you Yuji and Yuka for the experience!

Yuji and Luna were wonderful hosts, knowledgeable and sensitive. A difficult task to convey the gravity and horror of the destruction of Hiroshima. Without giving anything away the tour was also fun and full of surprises. A delicious lunch to finish. I had been to Hiroshima before and read many a book on the A bomb and subsequent rebuilding, the tour filled in things I had missed from books and a visit walking around by myself. Highly recommended.

Yugi was the BEST!!! When I look back on this tour, I will remember Miyajima and Yugi with great gratitude and a sense of wonder, he truly made my day special. His explanation of history and religion was very enlightening, I learned a great deal and he gave me a much better understanding of this beautiful country. Yugi is a very kind and professional guide and this company is lucky to have him. I would suggest anyone who is visiting the area to also plan a tour of the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park with Yugi. I could go on and on about the wonderful Miyajima tour I had but I will just end with BOOK this tour with Yugi! Do not miss this!

Yuji was a wonderful guide who knew his history and Japanese tradition. We had a great time and highly recommend him as a guide. The tour was beautiful! The shrine and the Tori gate just beautiful but nothing would prepare us for the amazing temple. Must do this trip

Yuji was a fantastic guide. Very knowledgeable. It was a fantastic tour and lunch was great. I would definitely recommend it.

Yoko and Yoji where very nice! We had a great time. We saw how they prepared an okonomiyaki and also went bar hopping to local places.

We absolutely loved our trip to Miyajima whith the amazing Yuji. He was a very interesting guide with excellent English and took us to some beautiful and interesting off the beaten track places on Miyajima that we wouldn't have found ourselves.Thank you for such a memorable day, Yuji!

Yugi (hope I'm spelling it right) was the greatest tour guide I had the pleasure working with. He was extremely knowledgeable and thorough during the trip, I felt like I learned a lot from his insight! The distances were easily accessible to walk in my opinion and the experience made Hiroshima my most memorable trip!

Insightful tour with Yuji. Had a wonderful time visiting local izakaya, trying iconic food in Hiroshima! Bonus: Yuji actually knows a lot about the history, let him take you back in time while you eat.

Yuji was amazing - knowledgeable, friendly and guided us through such a great tour. He grew up in Hiroshima, and answered all our questions while also giving us some quick facts about why things are done in specific ways throughout the city: from earthquake prevention to how the radiation was handled in certain areas; as well as their lasting effects generations afterwards. The museum and whole experience is very humbling, and yet left the tour on a very positive note. We took the shinkansen from Kyoto just for this tour and day trip in Hiroshima - absolutely worth it. Thank you so much Yuji!!- From some visiting Canadians

Miyajima is a very spiritual place with lots of meaning and sure you can come here and stumble around and enjoy it on your own, or you can book this tour and go with Yuji and get the inside track and learn the ins and outs from a local’s perspective.

Overall great experience with Yuji! Saw places we wouldn't have gone to alone without proper Japanese, ate and drank exactly what we like (Yuji asked us beforehand) and heard a lot of interesting stories about Hiroshima. It really helps that Yuji lived in the US so his English is really good.

Yuji is the greatest guide ever. He is very friendly, informative, funny and caring. We had an amazing day at Miyajima. Strongly recommend.

Miyajima was fantastic. We only had a short trip but we saw a lot. Without our guide, Yuji we couldn't have made it. He explained everything about history, culture, beliefs and showed a lot of hidden details. These helped us to have a greater understanding. I recommend booking this trip to everyone.

Yuri was an amazing guide that knew so much about Moyajima. He helped us understand and explore the culture of the island as well as introduced us to some delicious food.

We thoroughly enjoyed our Hiroshima Peace Walking Tour with Magic Trip. Our guide, Yuji, was so knowledgeable and shared very detailed history of the area. He even took the time to capture photos of our experience along the way. It was very moving to hear the stories of this important historical site and how it has shaped Japan. We highly recommend this tour - Thanks again, Yuji! Jane & MichaelMelbourne, Australia

It was a great experience walking around in the downtown area in Hiroshima at night with a local. Yuji showed us different restaurants and explained the history. He’s also a good chatter who’s curious about my country and culture, and he also knows a lot. Being easygoing and friendly, he also helped me get to know the other guests and therefore I made some new friends in this tour. Highly recommended this tour to everyone here. :)

This was a great way to spend an evening in Hiroshima with basically guaranteed good food and great conversation! Yuji was an excellent guide and I really appreciated his travel advice, food guidance, and historical knowledge. In general, I always appreciate a tour that facilitates a seamlessly fun evening – and this tour really delivered. In particular, I recommend this tour if you are (1) looking for some really great insight on Hiroshima culture and history in a casual, conversational environment, (2) want to try several different dishes (Yuji was great about providing recommendations based on our interests and taste), and (3) want to meet other travelers in Hiroshima. Overall a very pleasant and interesting way to spend an evening!

Had a really great experience with Yuji. Very informative and detailed presentation of the history of the city of Hiroshima.Gave us also very good tips for delicious Ramen and Okonomiyaki restaurants. The origami crane folding session was also an memorable experience.Thank you!

I really enjoyed this trip. Our guide, Yuji was excellent, very knowledgeable, very helpful, I couldn't ask for more. He even helped us find our way back to Hiroshima station. I highly recommend this tour, and hopefully you get Yuji.

We had a fabulous tour with Yuji!! Yes, the food was hands down AMAZING, but Yuji is clearly a local with an infectious enthusiasm for his city. He has vast historic knowledge of how Hiroshima has been impacted by the war, clear insights about the food and it's origins and tons of helpful tips (best bakery to hit, where to get oysters or ramen and what to order...). He welcomed any and all random questions we had after traveling in Japan for the past few weeks and solved a number of mysteries for us! An evening with Yuji is an amazing food/bar tour, but so much more and we highly recommend!!

The experience has been very good. We had a great time and Juji has been very attentive to us. We have a perfect guide thanks to Juji

Yuji (our guide) was extremely accomodating and did his best to make a very rainy day interesting. His knowledge of the area was very good and he passionately explained everything.

I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Hiroshima. Yuji, a native of Hiroshima, was our guide and he was excellent! His knowledge of Hiroshima was extensive. We saw and learned so much in a short amount of time, and Yuji kept us moving and on schedule. Hiroshima's dedication to peace was very inspiring. Also, the tour was not physically strenuous for anyone having mild limitations.

The tour was really beautiful!! We visited temples, places to eat and took many photos. Yuji was so nice, I hope see him again.

Yuji was a great host and brought me to several local restaurants. The food were tasty but the best part of the tour is learning about the history and local culture of Hiroshima.

Yuji our tour guide was amazing. Not only was he knowledgeable but he was also passionate. We had a great time. We definitely recommend him to anyone visiting Hiroshima

Excellent all around From the very personable and informative host to the choice of dining places. YUJI was a perfect guide. The food choices were excellent, especially the Okonomi.

Yuji took us on one of the best tours we had in Japan. He was extremely knowledgeable and planned a fun itinerary of activities. Yuji added some incidental stops along the way and pointed out things we might like to try on further visits. He clearly loves Hiroshima and taught us many things. We ended the night with full stomachs and he recommended some great drinks to try. Yuji even ensured the route ended out the front of our hotel and he was teaching us about the local area right up until we said farewell. Thank you for this experience. We hope to cross paths with you again in the future

When I booked this trip I didn't imagine it would be an solo trip with the guide! Yuji made me feel very comfortable from the first moment, he wqas very kind and smiling. He showed me the most beautiful places in Miyajima, and gave me the most delicious things to eat (I won't forget the grilled oysters with butter and soy!) We also talked me about Miyajima and Hiroshima history and Japanese religions and culture. Every question I had he knew how to answer. I spent a beautiful day, in the month I have been in Japan without a doubt this has been the best day. All thanks to you Yuji!! I would repeat with you a thousand times, you are the best guide I have ever had. Thank you for such a special day, I will keep the origamis as a memory :)

Yuji San was a great guide we all had a fantastic time food and drinks were the best and I will recommend this food and drink tour to all my friends who visit Hiroshima. Thanks again Yuji you are the best.

Our guides were amazing as they lead us on our extremely emotional tour through the hypocentre and this beautiful city, it was respectfully educational focusing now on the peacefulness of the area.

He was very kind and respectful and all around a fun guy to be around. Would happily book a trip tour with him again. He also does a bar hopping tour. Next time I’ll be joining

Yuji-san was a fantastic guide. He speaks English perfectly, has many great stories to tell, and provided us with an insight to the history of Hiroshima, in such a way that it brought us to tears. The walk through the museum and the park and other areas were very nice and again well narrated by our guide. We had a nice lunch at a local beer pub which was also exceptional. we highly recommend this tour!

We had a fun time with Yuji! As a native Hiroshima resident, he's very knowledgeable about the city and took us to the best places to eat! Every thing was so delicious - the Hiroshima style okomomiyaki was my favorite. He's very friendly and really wants to get to know you. Highly recommended!

Yuji was an amazing guide. He made to to chat with all of us on the tour and kept out question in mind if we asked about a specific place. He made the day trip with all his stories and facts he knows about the island.

Yuji's knowledge of Hiroshima and his personal stories of family experiences leant a depth and emotional resonance to and already emotional topic.I really valued hearing from a Hiroshima local about the perceptions and cultural desire for peace. The city is beautiful, despite the rainy weather on our tour day.The inclusions on the tour for the Peace Museum, rest centre, peace Park, Orizumi tower and lunch at a local restaurant were all great. Thanks Yuji 😊

Our tour guide YUJI was phenomenal - he was very knowledgeable & accommodated for all our questions & enquiries. The walking tour gave me a wonderful experience of Hiroshima & its importance in history & our world.I would recommend this tour highly & especially YUJI.Thank you..

Yuji was an amazing tour guide and took fantastic photos of us, telling us all about Miyajima, Hiroshima and the Japanese culture. I learned so much and had an amazing time. After a delicious lunch, Yuji took us to an excellent spot for a mid-break to get matcha or coffee with a great viewpoint. At the end of the tour, Yuji even took some time to show us some excellent food recommendations and helped us order. He remained in touch with me to ensure I have received high quality photos and also to welcome my back to Hiroshima in future.I highly recommend this tour in seeing Miyajima Island! Thank you so much Yuji for everything!

If you are in Hiroshima, you need to do this tour! Our guide Yugi was so friendly and knowledgable on all things food as well as interesting facts and information relating to Hiroshima. The food was AMAZING. I left very full and happy! Thanks again Yugi!
