Great experience. Thanks to Hika. He was a a wonderful guide

Our tour guides Hika and China were amazing. They gave us thorough explanations and the history of the different shrines and temples at Mijayima Island. We had plenty of time to take photos and they showed us the best spots for photos. We enjoyed having lunch with them and we had good conversation as we were a small group. We would definitely recommend booking with them.

Hika was a pleasure to walk round Hiroshima from the start. So knowledgeable and answered any questions we had.His personal story was a bonus and very interesting and relevant. The tour, museum and peace park were so moving.Thankyou

We have a Great Walk with Hika in Hiroshima. He is the Best for this Job It is his professionell and very good . Fest Hika Thank you for all WhatsApp we get from you . All the Best to you. Helmut and Monika from Germany

Hika was an absolutely wonderful guide for our group of 6. A very informative, well planned tour that he tailored based on what we asked and he made some insightful suggestions that we took to see some real local things that we otherwise would have missed out on. The time went really quickly and we took in many areas. Highly recommended and totally satisfied with my experience would absolutely book again.

We are cruise passengers who had one day only in Hiroshima, our ages are 21 to 70. We picked the perfect option for our group of six, plus one Norwegian lady joined our group. Hiko-san was an incredible guide and shared his personal experience as a second generation a-bomb survivor. There was so much to see and do in Hiroshima, we could not have done this without him. In addition to sharing things related to the a-bomb, he taught us origami, wrote our names in Japanese, and gave us Japanese eating etiquette tips (at our request). The peace museum was PACKED (nothing Hiko-san could do about that) so we did not spend the fully allocated time there - but the day was full and meaningful for us. I am interested in history and had a solid knowledge of WWII before this trip, but nothing compared to being there in person and understanding the human cost that lasts for generations. The lunch is at the end of the tour around 3pm so plan accordingly with a meal or snack before joining the tour. We loved the lunch place that was included with the tour!

Hika was a very friendly and excellent guide. We enjoyed this trip very much !

Hika is the best and such a wonderful tour

This was a great way to spend time with some new faces, and to be exposed to a more local experience. Hika, our guide, was so fun and easy to talk to and be with, and offered so much information on things we might not have known about food and life in Japan. Really fun experience, a change of pace from the typical tourist things to do!

We shared a full half-day in a small (guide Hika + 3 guests) group, which made our experience more personal and interactive. Beyond the highlights of Hiroshima's peace park and Memorial museum, Hika shared with us his family history and made this terrible episode more tangible for us. Delicious lunch with a view was also a highlight in this tour, packed with information on Hiroshima and its culture, beyond August 6th... Highly recommend!

The tour was very interesting and included the main milestones of the commemoration of the events almost 81 years ago. Hika has been very dedicated about what happened.

Everything was wonderful. Hika, our guide, was attentive and informative, and absolutely lovely to boot. The museum is a must see, definitely a bit confronting but absolutely worth it.

Hika was an amazing host ! He was so friendly and accommodating and taught us so much about Hiroshima. We had such a wonderful time trying all the food and drinks and meeting everyone on the tour !

This was an excellent experience. We would not have enjoyed our visit to the island nearly as much without our wonderful guide Hika. He was absolutely marvellous in every way.

Hika showed us one of the highlight of our Honeymoon, Miyajima. This place is really wonderful and serene, I’m happy that we could see it with the deers too.

Hika San was an excellent guide, knowledgeable, generous, helpful and friendly!

Hika did a really great guidance through Hiroshima’s food and drink coulture. He was a really nice companion also and we could talk with him about anything.

I would highly recommend this tour. It was the perfect length, very informative, and very personal. Hika was such a great guide, very considerate and shared personal stories and perspectives.

My son and I had a fantastic half day walking tour with Hika at Miyajima. Hika is very knowledgeable and generously shared his knowledge and experience of Japanese culture. Hika was a kind and respectful tour guide, he made the day fun and was a joy to be around. Thank you Hika for a wonderful day! Highly recommend this tour and the beautiful Miyajima island.

Hika was an excellent guide, he is very knowledgeable. He explained everything clearly and has such a friendly personality. 4 to 5 hours in length depending on which route you would like to take. The views are amazing and it can be busy.

This was such a great way to experience Miyajima (Itsukushima) island. Hika made it fun and interesting with lots of well explained facts and detail- a natural teacher for sure. If you are a solo traveller, it’s really nice to hang with a group of others for a while and have at least one meal with company. I also like that having a good guide means there’s no time wasted finding and navigating the key interest points.

We had a really fun trip. Hika was a fab host and it was also great to share the trip with the others. The restaurants/izakayas that he took us to served lovely food and had a good vibe.

Fantastic tour with Hika! He was incredibly knowledgeable and interesting. He has lived his entire life in the area and had so much to share. We lived Miyajima island and he took us to areas that were not as busy as the others. We throughly enjoyed ourselves and would definitely recommend this tour and Hika as a guide! Thanks for an amazing day!

This tour was a great introduction to the food and drink culture of Hiroshima. Hika San, our guide was witty and fun. He made learning about Hiroshima’s history and culture very enjoyable. All of the participant on this tour were sociable and all had a great time. I highly recommend this tour!

Hika was brilliant, and very nice to meet the others. Thank you. Saki was good, the mood steig. Comfortable time use...

Excellent tour, lots of stories of history of the island from our guide Hika. Beautiful scenery, tasty food & well paced walking. We would thoroughly recommend this tour. Thankyou

Hika was a great guide. His teaching background elevated his style. He had a notebook with illustrated notes to help us understand timelines, geographies, history, etc. We were lucky to be the only ones on the tour so it felt very personal. His knowledge of the island was shared abundantly and his storytelling style was entertaining as well as informative. The best part is he took so many photos for us that we wish all tour guides did this. He knew the best spots, best angles, aware when people were not around to snag a quick photo, etc. We highly recommend Hika and any tour he leads!

Hika was very friendly & knowledgeable. He is a local Hiroshima resident himself and had a great understanding about the area and Miyajima island. We are very grateful to have had him as our guide. Thank you so much Hika & Magical-Trip - we won’t forget our day with you.

We had a great day with Hika on Miyajima. He arrived on time and gave us an initial overview of the tour using excellent hand drawn illustrations and maps. Hika was very knowledgeable and told us much about Japanese history and culture that we did not know. He also shared some family anecdotes and interests which made our tour special. We would highly recommend Hika as guide for this tour and he took some brilliant photos. Thanks Hika!

Hika had such genuine energy and was eager to share delicious food. We had a great time eating, drinking and sharing stories. Thank you Hika!!!!

Hikaru was a great guide for my tour of Hiroshima spots! Thanks again for the recommendations and conversation. Would welcome others to go.

We had an exceptional tour to Miyagima with Hika-san. He explained us shinto, Japanese culture and traditions. It was a very hot day, but he endured weather for us. He showed us so much of Miyagima that we would not be able to discover ourselves. I also loved learning about him too. He was kind enough to do all the pictures we asked for. I want to thank Hika-san for his openness, knowledge, and patience with us. It was fantastic first tour in Japan for us. We loved it and had another one with your company after this!

This tour was so wonderful and our guide Hika was great! The spots along the tour were all beautiful and definitely recommend the trip if you have a spare day in Hiroshima.

Hika was truly an amazing guide. He was so knowledgeable about everything and made the whole experience feel very personal and special. We learned so much about the history and I really appreciated him sharing his moms personal story about the atomic bomb. It was an unforgettable day!

Miyajima is beautiful and the tour was great. Our guide Hika was super friendly, knowledgeable and authentic. He even helped to organize our boat trip back to Hiroshima.

Very nice experience. Hika was informative and interesting. He showed us the less busy spots to see the deer and took us to a great restaurant for lunch. Great and personable guide. Very easy to talk with and made our trip a special day.

Our guide Hika is an enthusiast in his profession. He shared his knowledge not only about Miyajima, but also about the prefecture. All our questions were answered, and even more. I highly recommend him and this tour. Excellent choice to visit Miyajima.

Hika was our guide on the Miyajima half day tour and my son and I were thrilled! We met Hika 2 days prior since he led the food/drink tour we did in Hiroshima (another awesome experience with Hika). Hika is professional, friendly and a joy to spend time with. He made sure our time on Miyajima was perfect and ensured we got the best seats on the ferry and amazing views and pictures by the floating torii... We also really enjoyed the deer that were walking around as well as all of the other beautiful spots Hika took us to. He provided a lot of information along the way which we found super enlightening and helpful. Thank you Hika for another amazing experience!!

We really enjoyed this tour and absolutely loved Hika! He is fantastic and did an amazing job taking us to some really excellent places for delicious foods and drinks. I experienced some of the best sake of my trip with Hika and the most delicious okonomiyaki was on this food tour as well. I am so glad we decided to do this tour...thank you Hika!

Had the best time with our tour guide, Hika-san. His knowledge and passion about sharing the history of Miyajima and Hiroshima prefecture is inspiring and just makes you want to come back to this wonderful corner of the world. Thank you, Hika-san and hope to join one of your bar hopping tours next 🍻

I had the pleasure of exploring Miyajima Island with Hika as my guide, and it was one of the highlights of my trip to Japan. From the very beginning, Hika’s warm demeanor, professionalism, and deep knowledge stood out. He didn’t just guide me through the island—he opened a window into the soul of Japanese culture. As we walked, Hika shared captivating insights into Japanese religion and history. His explanations of Shintoism, Buddhism, and the historical significance of places like Itsukushima Shrine brought a sense of meaning to every stop.I never felt like I was just being led around—I felt like I was being personally introduced to a culture, a history, and a way of life.

Great attraction. Hika was a very passionate, pleasant and helpful guide and we thank him very much. Some sections require good physical conditioning, however, you can sit them out and await return of your group.

This was a great tour, with lots of opportunity for photos and rest stops. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and spoke English well. Although it was a long walk, it was not hard and there was opportunity for those who needed it, to sit. Lunch was amazing, and there were even vegan options. We finished our tour with yummy ice cream. After the tour we still had plenty of time to go back and look for souvenirs. Highly recommend.

A must when in Hiroshima. Haki was a very thoughtful, caring and knowledgeable guide. Lunch was great. Happy as ever either the whole experience.

We had an incredible time with Hika-san! We had a group of 4 which made it very easy to get to know each other intimately over a few drinks and some delicious okonomiyaki + other delicious dishes. Conversation was easy and free flowing and Hika was full of interesting insights about Hiroshima's history. His own family connection to Hiroshima was absolutely fascinating, and we couldn't stop asking questions all night long. The food and drink were A+ and especially the okonomiyaki at the first restaurant - absolutely sensational, and the staff were so lovely. Thank you Hika for making us feel like we had a true friend with us guiding us through Hiroshima. We didn't want the night to end :)

The food was fantastic, especially the first stop. Hika was a brilliant tour guide; Great conversation, local knowledge and kind personality. Thank you again Hika, we had a great night!

Hika-san was a great tour guide showing us the history and importance of Miyajima. He was very kind and knowledgeable about Miyajima and Hiroshima prefecture as a whole. You will see the shrines & temples of the island as well as a few places inbetween. We learned a lot and for us it was very personal since it was just me and my wife with him so you could say it was a really small group. It involves a decent amount of walking (up to 8 km!) So make sure you are okay with that. Hika-san if you read this, you were great and wanted to say again ありがとうございます!!

My daughter and I had a memorable day on the island of Miyajima walking and talking up and down and around and through all of the features of the island of shrines, deer and views. Thanks to Hika’s expertise, sketch book of beautiful images and information, kind and thoughtful manner and relaxed pace, we were very happy we booked this tour.

This tour was the best thing we booked on our trip! Hika was professional, kind, knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour! Hika tailored the tour to our interests and gave us amazing recommendations. It was also great to hear we were supporting a local business!

It was an amazing tour under the command of the amazing guide Hika! Always attentive and responsible took the immense photos, gave great explanations, removed all doubts and gave us the precise context to enjoy the day! It took us to the most important sites on the island and even gave us a choice between two final routes! I highly recommend this tour!

Wonderful tour ! We saw many nice spots and Hika was very nice and helpful :)The restaurant was good, and the view from the top was incredible

Hika was an excellent tour guide! We had great time with him. He shared a lot of interesting facts about the place and wasn't rushing us around which was nice. We felt like we had a relaxing tour for the first time since arriving in Japan! Miyajima was fantastic place! I would definitely recommend this tours to everyone!

Our guide was knowledgeable, had a great personality and was warm and friendly. Very inclusive and made you feel special.

Despite of a mishap at the beginning of the tour with the other couple failed to follow the instructions to meet outside JR station, not JR Ferry Port, the rest of the tour went by like a breeze. This is my second visit to Miyajima while the other three were their first. We were all felt at ease with our tour guide- Mr. Morisaki Hikaru almost instantly. We learned a lot about not only the history of the shrine but also about Japan as a whole. We shared many joyful moments when we got each other’s jokes. We were offered 4 types of lunch sets and we weren’t disappointed with fried oysters lunch set to be followed by special coffee ice cream cones. My family members were very happy with the tour as we were made aware that Miyajima is one of the 3 beautiful sites of Japan. If I ever come back to Hiroshima with my other family members, this tour will definitely be my choice all over again. Many thanks to Morisaki San for helping us gaining a better appreciation of Japan and its people. We really loved our time in the museum of Miyajima History and Folklore and our condensed version of Shikuoka pilgrimage during the tour.

Hika is friendly and a delight to meet and walk with. We so enjoyed our tour with him, as he shared his deep knowledge of Miyajima Island with us. A favorite part of our trip.

Hiroshima turned out to be a surprise highlight of our vacation. I wasn’t sure what to expect, so booked a food tour so we could sample the well-known okonomiyaki and get some insights from our tour guide. So glad I did! Our host, Hika, taught us so much about Hiroshima and his own lived experience. He was also interested and curious about our own backgrounds, so that by the end of the evening, it felt more like we were catching up with a friend than going on a food tour. All the food was excellent and the places he took us to were really fun. I would highly recommend this experience and Hika as a guide.

Miyajima is a very special place. Our guide knew the site very well, having taken schoolchildren there many times. We saw Shinto and Buddhist temples and deer. The lunch was very good. We walked along the sea and then up the hill through nature paths.

We had a great time on our Bar Hopping Tour in Hiroshima. Hika was wonderful. Took us to some great venues and the food was fabulous. I loved the okonomiyaki!

We had an amazing day with our excellent guide Hika. He was so friendly and kind and very knowledgeable about the history and culture of Miyajima. Without his expertise we would have missed out on so much. Highly recommend this magical trip.

Hika was a great guide - very friendly and informative. My side-trip to Hiroshima was primarily to see the A-bomb Dome and museum, but I am very glad I did the Miyajima tour. The island is a major tourist attraction, but it doesn’t feel overly touristy, like many other similar attractions. Though there were a ton of student groups when I went (huge amounts for the size of the area and attractions), they seemed to not go past the Itsukushina shrine and everything beyond that was very peaceful and tranquil. I ended up being the only person on the tour and Hika was happy to shorten it a bit at my request to give me more time in the city in the afternoon to see the dome and museum. We spent about 4 hours on the island, plus the short ferry ride each way, which is honestly plenty of time. The full tour would be about 8km of walking, so be prepared for that. There are also a fair amount of stairs overall, but nothing too daunting at one time.FYI - the JR station where you meet is Miyajimaguchi (Sanyo Line) and it’s a 25-30 minute ride from central Hiroshima. I didn’t find that to be super clearly identified in the instructions and Japanese public transport can be a bit challenging for a Westerner.

We had the most amazing time with our guide Hika. We all agreed it was one of our best nights out we have ever had not just on this trip I mean ever. By the end of night we had all made a new best friend. Hika was so much fun and is truly a wonderful person. The food and Sake was delicious and we would never found any of the restaurants or bars on our own. Could not recommend this trip highly enough. Many thanks Hika for an unforgettable night out in Hiroshima.

The tour was really good. Hika was a good host and made excellent recommendations. Food was amazing and the drinks really good too.

What a great day touring Miyajima with Haki. He explained a lot, very knowledgeable and a genuinely nice guy. Shared a lot about his personal experiences. Thanks Haki.

I did the 1/2 day tour with Hika of Miyajima Island. Hika was an amazing guide really knowledgeable and had a lovely manner. The Island itself was magical and it was just the best day. This tour hit all of the right spots and had the balance of walking and rests when needed. I would highly recommend this company but also Hika as a tour guide.

Loved our walking tour. So much history and such beautiful temples, the shrine and scenery on the island. Unforgettable. Thank you Hika - you were amazing

We found out about this company through a Youtube video and thought that we would give it a go in Hiroshima on a whim, and it turned out to be a highlight of our trip. Our guide Hika was excellent, really good company and full of interesting insights into the city. The places in the tour felt a lot like hidden gems - I don't think we would have found them otherwise - and the atmosphere was very local which was exactly what we were after. Well worth a go if you have a spare night in Hiroshima.

Hiks was super nice and a great guide. He gave a good impression of miyajima and showed us the most important sights on the island

Had an amazing time。Hika took us to some great food locations and was great company! Can not recommend this experience enough

Aprt from the fact that Miyajima is a stunning location, the knowledge Haki-san imparted was relevant to each location and so interesting too. Over the course of the tour, we visited just about everything there is to see, ate yummy food (the coffee icecream was a definite highlight) and got to see many of the wild deer as they wandered past, oblivious to the humans. I took sooooooo many photos, but none of them will really do justice to this place. Thankyou Haki-san, you made our tour today incredibly enjoyable!

Haka was a wonderful tour guide, expertly leading our small group around the island to the Torii gate and several shrines and temples, along scenic paths away from the busy crowds. His warm, friendly demeanor and deep knowledge of the area made the experience truly enjoyable. We also appreciated the great company of our fellow travelers. I highly recommend this tour for anyone looking for a memorable and well-guided adventure.

The tour was awesome thanks to our guide Haki. I had a great time and learned a lot. Haki was genuinely friendly and thoughtful. I wish all my tour guides in Japan learned from him. Great job!

Hika was an excellent host, providing us with insight into the history of Hiroshima and offering a unique local perspective. The food (and sake) was outstanding, and the first bar we visited was incredible - small, intimate, and the Okonomiyaki was fantastic. I would never have had the confidence to enter a bar in Japan with so few seats!

My husband and I had only one night in Hiroshima and we are very glad that we booked this tour. Hika was an amazing host and so fun to talk to. All the food and drinks we had were amazing, and we appreciated stopping into izakayas that catered more to locals rather than tourists. Highly recommend booking this tour and we recommend you request Hika as your tour guide.

Really enjoyed having a more local experience. We visited 3 places, and had some really yummy food at each location. Japanese sake was also top notch!

Hike was an amazing guide and I had a lot of fun bar hopping with him. He is very attentive and knowledgeable. The food was amazing, and after this tour I discovered that I actually like sake :)

Wonderful tour! Our guide was amazing, very knowledgeable and friendly. We loved our time with him. Highly recommend this tour!

It was a Great experience. The Guide Show us some real good Little Restaurants. It was real Fun. We learned a lot of the history of Hiroshima and of the Culture. Thanks

Great guide, very friendly and knowledgeable. Very nice experience. Both pre information, sightseeing and lunch was very good.

Excellent tour. It was just three people in our group and Hika, our tour guide made sure the two “cameraman” in the group had the best advantage points to take pictures from. Hika was informative, friendly, and all around a great person to be around. We had a wonderful time learning about the history of Miyajima. It is a 7-8 km walk/hike depending on the trail you choose, so be prepared for a day of exercise. Highly recommend this tour!

Hika was an amazing guide! He is very knowledgeable and took us to some amazing bars. We tried a variety of amazing food - each of which better than the last.

It was really worthwhile to have a guide. Although I could have gone to Miyajims Island by myself, I don't think I would have gotten as much out of it with Hikaru as a guide. It was also great to go with a smaller group of 4 people and to share the experience with my fellow travellers whom I ended up hanging out with for the rest of the day even after the guided tour.

We had an amazing tour with Hikaru (Hika)! He was so knowledgeable and personable during our trip around Miyajima and took the time to answer all our questions. We shared stories of life and travel. Shared our love of sport and culture. We would love to recommend him as a guide to anyone visiting the island. We were there just the 2 of us as there was no other bookings so it ended up being a private tour. We would not have seen or learnt as much if we had done it solo or with a larger group.

Hika is a great host. He's cheeky and very friendly and personable and he's only been doing it for a month. His local knowledge was second to one and he enjoys his sports

Very friendly and made the experience fun as Hika was also having a good time too. We tried a few different types of food and drinks and he explained the different specialities of each place.

Haki was awesome, and very kind with all the multicultural group, I really had a great time I’ll definitely recommend it.

Had a wonderful time learning from Mr. Haku about the history of Miyajima and the mix of Buddhist temple, Tibetan temple and Shinto Temples built on the island. Also got to try popular food local to area during tour. Great rest breaks during long walk. Thank you for a lovely experience in Miyajima

Hika-san was our guide for the day, and it was so much fun! We talked about loads of things and he gave us alot of information about all the places we visited during the tour. We had a blast and recommend Hika-san as a guide to anyone who wants to take a walking tour in Miyajima!

Hikaru was such an awesome host!! The restaurants he chose to take us to were all fantastic. My wife and I were especially impressed with the Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki we had at a 4-seat counter izakaya. Hiroshima really does do it better, sorry Osaka! Above all, Hikaru was so kind and welcoming and learning more about him and his background was such a delight. ひいかるさん、ありがとうございました！

Hika was a very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable guide. Thanks to him we enjoyed our day trip with our young children.

Miyajima was beautiful and our guide Hika was very helpful. We learned a lot, saw the sights, and ate well. Plus we got great pictures!

Yuji & Hikaru were our hosts for the evening. A fun tour, and they weren’t kidding when they promised you’d be full by the end of the night! We were in Nagarekawa area, and enjoyed a few different places, including Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki, followed by multiple app/finger foods at a couple izakayas- each place with drinks (non-alcoholic drinks available by what each place offers, typically lemonades, teas, soft drinks etc). Conversation was great- and our hosts answered candidly and offered personal stories and nuances to Hiroshima’s history. We were able to try a couple izakaya foods that we might not have thought to order. Really enjoyed our night!

Hika
