Cooking Sun Tokyo is one of the most well-known Japanese cooking class in Tokyo especially for travelers.
Morning Sushi Class is a great way to learn about varioius types of sushi rolls. In addition, you will learn the cultural background of the well-known Japanese ‘Sushi’. During the 3 hour class, we will demonstrate and explain the tricks to making these beautiful sushi and then you will give it a try. After you finish cooking, you will enjoy the sushi lunch you just made!
How about giving the gift of a cooking class for a birthday, honeymoon trip, or just a surprise activity for someone special? Many people have tried this and it works very well!
The studio is 5 minutes walk from JR Shinanomachi station in Shinjuku Area.

After arriving at the studio you will be welcomed by our staff then the class is briefly explained by our staff and you will wear a samue (working clothes for buddhist monks) as an apron.

What you will be making in this class

You will experience making sushi rice as well as various types of sushi; nigiri, inari, hosomaki (thin roll), and California roll:

  1. Rolled Egg (玉子焼き)
  2. Sushi Rice (酢飯)
  3. Inari Sushi (いなりずし)
  4. Tuna Roll(鉄火巻き)
  5. Cucumber Roll (かっぱ巻き)
  6. California Roll (カリフォルニアロール)
  7. Nigiri Sushi (握りずし)
  8. Miso Soup (みそ汁)

Enjoy Making and Eating Sushi Together!

Our teachers will carefully guide you in making a Japanese Sushi. Our teachers are local Japanese ladies who are knowledgeable about Japanese food and are fluent in English. They are all experts of Japanese home cooking and they all love to talk with you about food and many other things.

After the lesson has ended you can enjoy your freshly made sushi with the other participants, take photos, and have a memorable time talking together.

They will explain to you 10 times anything you may have not understood...which results in you performing as a proffesional Chef;)! The quality of the products is just outstanding!
