TRIBE Marina

If you want to enjoy authentic water sports at Lake Kawaguchiko, head to TRIBE Marina. You can enjoy cool water sports such as wakeboarding, where you ride while being towed behind a boat, and wake surfing, where you ride waves created by the boat.

Wakeboarding may look difficult at first glance, but the coaches teach you carefully, so even as a beginner, I was able to dash across the lake feeling the pleasant breeze. After enjoying water sports and getting hungry, let's enjoy some BBQ!

TRIBE Marina also prepares BBQ for you. The plan that includes all ingredients such as meat, seafoods, vegetables, and noodles can be enjoyed for 6,000 yen.

4 Recommended BBQ Spots Where Families Can Enjoy with Children

Around Mt. Fuji, there are many spots where children can enjoy various activities. After playing a lot, enjoy BBQ with your family! Here I'll introduce 4 spots that I confidently recommend.

Fuji Milk Land

Source: Official website

Located in the Asagiri plateau, "Fuji Milk Land" is a spot where you can enjoy various activities such as cycling, athletic facilities, and interacting with animals while viewing the spectacular scenery of Mt. Fuji. The farm is attached to the facility, and cheese-making experiences, which can only be enjoyed at farms, are very popular with children!

True to its name "Milk Land," the dairy products are exquisite. My recommendation is the "Sashimi cheese" made from fresh milk. This cheese with its soft and squishy mysterious texture goes perfectly with soy sauce! Please give it a try.

Of course, you can also enjoy BBQ at Milk Land. You can taste beef and pork raised around Mt. Fuji. The price starting from 2,100 yen makes it an attractively affordable option.

Makaino Farm "Forest Hideaway"

Source:Official website

"Makaino Farm" is a farm located in the Asagiri plateau. With its magnificent view of Mt. Fuji, it's one of my favorite spots. You can interact with animals like alpacas and sheep, and there are also experiences where you can feed milk to baby cows.

Makaino Farm is also popular as a campsite, and you can enjoy BBQ there (from 3,500 yen). Even if you don't stay overnight, they provide BBQ equipment rental and food supplies, so you can enjoy it as a day trip. The locally raised brand beef is tender with a healthy flavor. The juicy pork is also popular, so please try both!

The soft-serve ice cream sold at the shop has an exquisite deep milk flavor that I highly recommend. Please enjoy this as well!

From authentic athletic experiences to treehouses and wooden three-dimensional mazes, there are plenty of activities that can only be enjoyed in the forest. Adults can also have fun with their children as there are vehicles like trains and buggies that run through the forest.

After playing a lot, Subaru BBQ is recommended. Everything from equipment to ingredients is prepared for you, and you can casually enjoy it starting from 3,080 yen. The food is known for being voluminous, so even growing children will be satisfied!

Two Recommended BBQ Spots to Fully Enjoy Exquisite Ingredients Raised in Mt. Fuji's Rich Natural Environment

The area around Mt. Fuji is famous for high-quality ingredients due to its clean water and excellent environment. For those who want to enjoy BBQ with premium, carefully selected ingredients, the following two BBQ spots are recommended.

Fujiten Resort

Fujiten Resort is a ski resort located at the foot of Mt. Fuji. During the summer season when the ski resort is closed, you can enjoy BBQ on the spacious slopes.

The charm of Fujiten Resort is that you can enjoy BBQ while taking in views of Mt. Fuji on the open, spacious slopes. They rent roofed tents, allowing you to enjoy a private space with friends and family.

Another attractive feature is the high-quality meat raised at the foot of Mt. Fuji, including branded meats like "Shingen Chicken" and "Fuji Sakura Pork." The "Wine Beef," raised on feed containing wine pomace (a local specialty), is aromatic and definitely worth trying.

"Mina no Hiroba" is an establishment where you can enjoy over 150 types of wine collected from all over Japan and other alcoholic beverages. Yamanashi Prefecture, where Lake Kawaguchiko is located, is one of Japan's leading wine production regions. I'm also a big fan of the flavorful Yamanashi wines, and when you visit Yamanashi, you can encounter high-quality wines.

Inside the establishment, there is also a café where you can enjoy dim sum such as Chinese dumplings and xiao long bao. Many customers enjoy pairing wine with dim sum.

In the garden along the lakeside, you can enjoy BBQ coordinated with exquisite ingredients for 6,600 yen. The high-quality locally raised meat pairs perfectly with wine!
