What is Momiji Highway?
"Momiji Highway" is a 1.2km street that runs along the north shore of Kawaguchiko. Momiji trees are planted along the road, and when the autumn foliage season enters in late October, they turn bright red. The lakeside is wrapped in autumn foliage, and beautiful Mt. Fuji shows its face through the trees.

Koyodai is an observation deck in the mountains where you can overlook spectacular views of Mt. Fuji. The view of Mt. Fuji towering over the sea of trees is overwhelming, and especially beautiful scenery spreads during autumn foliage season.
My recommendation is the view from Koyodai Tenbo Resthouse. Mt. Fuji rising in blue melts into the scenery of the sea of trees dyed red with autumn foliage, creating an otherworldly scene. It costs 300 yen, but it's a spectacular view you should definitely see if you visit Koyodai.
A trekking course that can be casually enjoyed in about 2 hours round trip is also maintained, so I recommend enjoying the autumn foliage while forest bathing.

On the second floor, a memorial room is open to the public, recreating the room where novelist Osamu Dazai, who was active in the early 1900s, lived for two months and wrote "Fugaku Hyakkei," depicting the beauty of Mt.
