Had an awesome time discovering hidden little Kyoto gems whilst learning lots of local knowledge as well. Special shout out to our guide, Nanako, who was super friendly, accommodating and even shared her own food with us (ookini!) Highly recommend to anyone keen on discovering traditional Kyoto cuisines

Definitely don't regret joining this tour, AT ALL! Not sure about how others feel, but once you join this tour, you will realize that there are so many other places in Arashiyama that are way much better than just going to the over-crowded Bamboo Grove.
Our tour guides for the day, Kayo and Nanako san, were informative, friendly and really easy to talk to. Apart from that, they were also more than obliged to provide you more information and recommendation.
All in all, I really enjoyed this tour. Thank you once again, Kayo and Nanako san!

The walking tour of Arashiyama was really great. Nanako and Chii were wonderful guides full of information and very friendly. Was very interesting tour and it was great to see local areas. My daughters really enjoyed the tour and the guides. Hope to come back soon.

The tour was so much fun! Even though it was just the two of us, Nanako was super friendly and tailored the tour to my tastes - therefore: lots of sake and delicious food!

She took me to places that were very local and maybe off the beaten path a little, and I loved the food and drink at all of them.

She also had good local knowledge and taught me loads about the local history as we walked around 

Nanako - hope to see you again one day! Thank you for the wonderful evening, we had such a great time with the food and the conversation. Learned a ton about Kyoto and Japan, hope to do another tour when we come back.

Although my fiance and I had been to Kyoto several times, we decided to book the Kyoto Night Foodie Tour to experience something different.

Nanako and Kodai were amazing!  They took us to places we would not have found on our own.  We got to try new foods we had not heard of before as well.  Kodai was funny and very laid back.  Nanako was also very friendly and easy to talk to!  She went above and beyond by following up with me after the tour and giving additional recommendations of Kyoto. :) Thank you Nanako and Kodai! 

Five stars!  I joined the tour with Nanako as our guide and had a great time.  I would highly recommend Nanako for these tours! She has a great personality that really brought everyone together, and she had everything organized ahead of time. She showed us some really great places, and I was able to learn what was expected and how to order. When in Japan I was a bit nervous about entering local establishments and trying to order something, but after the guided tour with Nanako I was much more comfortable exploring new eateries! (And Japanese food and drink is definitely not to be missed!!) Her English is perfect so she was able to answer all of our questions about Kyoto and even helped explain and recommend menu items when we didn’t know what something was. She even took pictures for us!  It was a really great tour and for anyone thinking about doing it I would definitely recommend Nanako as a guide!  Thank you Nanako!!  - Chris 

This tour was an excellent one. We’ve been taken to different off-the-beaten-path bars and experienced what the locals experience. Nanako was very knowledgeable and gave us some insight on Japanese culture as well and overall made the experience very engaging.

Nice dinner tour with Yuki & Nanako as our guides. It was me and my girlfriend and three nice people from Great Britain. Good food and nice conversation. Both guides were fluent in english and it was nice to hear to be able to ask questions about Japanese culture and traditions. The night ended with Karaoke.

We had a lovely time on this tour. Nanako was an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable and gave great recommendations. Lovely food at brilliant restaurants. It was a great experience.

Its my first time visiting Kyoto, and i must say im really glad i took this bar hopping tour with Magical Trip. 

NanakoSan really guided the tour well, she is always curious as to where we were from and our preferences; she showed us around Gion and explained all the little interesting things around each area. 
All her food and drinks recommendation was also really spot on!

Would highly recommend this tour if you are visiting for the first time or does not speak japanese, or both!

Domo arigatou gozaimashita NanakoSan. My Kyoto experience is that much more memorable. 

It was a nice experience to go to places that I would not think of going.  Nanako was really nice and informative! Nice to have someone to eat with on a solo trip!

We loved having Nanako As our host. Being able to offer us cultural insights during our excursion, many had nothing to do with food, was an added bonus. Having grown up in Kyoto gave her added insight.
She was also tons of fun!
